Now THAT is an awesome custom! Once you have the hat it'll be perfect. Perhaps you could keep your eye out at dollar stores. Sometimes they'll have little cowboy action figures that might have just the right size of hat so you don't have to mod as much. Either way, awesome custom. Almost as if the likeness of Han Solo was exactly the same as the guy who played Indiana Jones... ;D

The whip used to belong to Western Ghost Rider, as did the gun.
These were either APPLE paints, and maybe some CITADEL... But I am pretty sure it was all APPLE. Indy has LOTS of brown, and no two are the same.
The gun was painted with a Sharpie, then Testors Black Gloss, then a couple layers of brown Apple paint.
The whip started with the tan color of Indy's pants... then a darker brown was used in a wash. Finally it was dry brushed with a mixture of the tan and brown.

Very nice paint job there Joe... You so need to find him a hat. GRR, I know. I will spend more time modding the W.GR hat... but again, sharp objects are against the rules And Indy's Smith and Wesson M&P Model 15 is silver, not brown. PS - the hat needs to be glued to the base, as it's always falling off during action sequences. Other than that, I am so so jealous!

I only found the TYPE of gun, and all pictures showed me a black metal with wood/brown inlay. www.adventure-supply.com/adventuregear.htmYou don't happen to have a picture of said gun/color scheme do you?

You might also want to take a fine-point Sharpie (or a pin and some paint) to fill in those cracks and gaps. They really stand out in red against black.

WOW. You really are becoming a Tenneseean! Try gunbroker.com or gunsamerica.com. My mistake Joe, I always thought that it was an M&P 15, but in fact it is the Hand Ejector Model 2 of 1917 as YB so astutely pointed out. And it is blued, not silver, as I stated. I'll just shut up now....

d**n, all the Indy sites I went to previously had "Replica" guns that were Black and Brown. Now I did find a site that was Black and Black! OR is that Blue/Black??? I never held a gun before, so I need some detailed info... feel free to PM me. I need a d**n frameshot from the movie... or else I could have just left the Western GR gun as is. But, it looks like he at least used that gun ONCE in the movies: www.indygear.com/gear/guns.shtmlPlus if it is good enough for a costume, it is good enough for my 3-inch custom So I am just gonna leave it... BUT if anyone wants to wacth Indy for me and take a freeze frame that would work Oh, but you have to watch ALL 3 movies, and capture ALL the guns he uses... I mean I don't want to waste 10 minutes repainting it

It is clearly shown when you watch the first movie, when he's packing to go and he puts it into his bag. It's the sequence when he's talking to Marcus about "always Careful".
