They must be using the idea that Venom still had a little left of him with Dr. Conners at the end of the movie.
I like the idea. I like Lizard. I would have been happy to see Kraven though. However, I really don't want 3 baddies like the last movie. 1 or 2 is good enough for me.

I agree, and like you said, Connors still has a piece of a suit, so they wont have to go into deep back story for a new villain, such as Kraven.

It will be interesting to see carnage come into play in the movies...just like when they brought in Venom (who kicks butt!)

The one site said that Black Cat is a possibility also, but she is still under discussion.

The Black Cat.... Ooh La La! ;D
I agree that the villain roster shouldn't be overcrowded for this movie, especially if the rumors are true about Tobey, Kirsten, and some of the other cast members bailing out. Too many villains would just be the nails for the franchise's coffin.

I can easily do without Kirsten, but the Tobe? That'll be unfortunate. Oh well. I've been hoping for the Lizard all along! Carnage, eh, he'd be cool visually. I'm with yall, though, two villains are plenty. I'd love to see Black Cat, but maybe save her for #5. Oooh, Silver Sable would be a nice addition, too.

I really, really hope they don't have both Lizard AND Carnage in 4. I would have guessed they would have learned from Spider-man 3 NOT to throw in a ton of villains. The biggest difference between Spider-man 1 and 2, and Spider-man 3 is that 1 and 2 have one villain, 3 has 3. One villain is plenty for one movie. Especially if they are considering Lizard, who certainly deserves his own movie to tell backstory and all that jazz. Raimi just needs to remember the acronym K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple, Stupid . You don't need some impossible threat thats 10 leaps above the threat in the previous one to make it good. The whole "Let's make this one 100,000 times COOLER" attitude in Hollywood is what makes so many sequels today be not as good as they good be. So, personally, I'd like the Lizard to be in 4, then Carnage in maybe 5 or 6.

They sure as heck better have the Lizard in one of these movies at some point or another! In fact, I'm starting to wonder why I haven't made myself a Lizard banner/avatar yet... Seriously though, I've been hoping for Lizard since Connor first appeared in the series. Once I see a full CGI version of my favorite villain, I think my life will be complete. Seriously.

Yeah, lizard does need to show up eventually, though i agree one villain would be enough i really want to see carnage. Maybe they should have the entire movie based around Lizard then right at the end something happens to the sample he has and carnage is born right at the last second. That way we get all the attention on one villain but still have the awesomeness of carnage to douse my flames of anticipation! *takes in deep breathe*

I would have guessed they would have learned from Spider-man 3 NOT to throw in a ton of villains. Shoot, I'd have hoped that moviedom in general would have learned from the older Batman movies that too many villians = poo-poo. Sigh.

Lizard would be pretty cool for #4, I think that he is the best candidate for this next spidey flick.

As much as i woul love to see Lizard and Carnage in this movie, I will have to agree with you guys. One villian is definitley enough! i also feel the same way Grievous does. I cannot wait to see the CGI version of Lizard! (Or Carnage, but I have lost hope with him due to the fact that Venom was so sucky looking!)
Hopefully a CGI Lizard doesn't suck!
The more I think about it having lizard as a mian character, and revealing carnage in the final scene would be exciting!!! I couldn't even deal with that kind of anticipation!
Well....the only question left is, Can sam find an actor crazy enough to look, sound, and be a decent Cletus Kassady in Spiderman 4?!

Rosie O'Donnell LOL Seriously though, I'd say that there are more than enough crazy looking people out there. Like this guy: His name's Aaron Eckhart. He'll be playing Two Face in the third movie of the new "Batman" series so they at least think he can pull off the "comic book villain" sort of character. He looks right but I'm not sure if he can act it. His filmography shows him generally playing "smart"-types. Still, that's what I could come up with in one shot. I'm sure Hollywood can do better .
