Awesome! I thought about getting Heroscape a couple of times, but they were just so expensive... Hopefully they will come out with Star Wars and Transformers too . I would probably buy them buy them...

This looked cool... until I found out you only get eight pieces. EIGHT! And last I heard they're only partially compatible with the current Heroscape figures due to difference in power levels. I'd rather spend my cash on Tix or Peanut Butter M&Ms...

10 figs total...I've got an article up on HeroScapers.com right now talking about the game, though it's geared towards HeroClix players, it might give you some of the info you are looking for.
I think the msrp is around 25, and the first set is geared up as essentially a two person starter.

Ah, ten, not eight. I must have miscounted. I saw this at Target this afternoon. I believe it was $30 but I might have seen the regular Heroscape tag and melded it with the Marvel Heroscape one. I was half-tempted to pick one up (just made some cash off Ebay that I could blow) but I decided to just save my money. Still, good to see that SOMETHING Hasbro, Marvel, and game-related made it to the shelves considering that Target filled its aisles with junk instead of actual important stuff like Attacktix.

I've been a big HeroScape fan for over a year now, and I've really enjoyed it. My wife bought me the Marvel HS set ($25 at Wal-Mart, by the way... $30 at Target and TRU) tonight, and I can't wait to play a few games with her soon!

It looked like a lot of fun. The had a big table set up at the Comic Con this year at the Hasbro booth. The Marvel figures look great. BTW, there are 40 listings on eBay for "Heroscape Marvel", so they are out there.

I currently own this set (Marvel HS) and can attest to the funability of it. My wife and I have a blast! I will warn you though that it is like a gate way drug into HS. Once I bought Marvelscape I now have dropped around $200.00 getting all kinds of other things. Tundra set, volcano set, bridge set, castle set, more terrain, monsters (some of these are too evil looking, so I only collect the ones I think look less offensive and won't give my daughter nightmares).
The best thing about this game is the terrain. Customizing the board is just awesome! My daughter loves playing with it as well.
Don't get me wrong we still dig Attacktix as well. But with nothing new coming out Attacktix wise, this has been my baby.
I HIGHLY recommend Marvelscape to anyone. The we can have competitions! ;D
BTW, there will be 2 expansion sets for Marvelscape in December. Look for the FF and a few Xmen.

Oh man, I'm SO tempted to get this right now. I've got about $25 that's not earmarked for other things (Attacktix...) and Marvelscape not only looks fun by itself but would give me the figures to make a Marvel Epic Duels expansion (Heck, some of the regular HS expansions look good for ED, Zombies and Werewolves FTW!). The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that my brother's ol' Master Set is currently collecting dust in the basement and I have a feeling that the same thing would happen with Marvelscape. Still, I'll be looking into it if I can't find anything else to spend my cash on.

HeroClix and HeroScape are essentially the same scale, so it's not uncommon for the uninitiated to confuse the two. I know there is a good amount of crossover...some 'clixers play on scape maps, some 'scapers convert 'clix figs over into scape rules, etc. And yes, next year at TixCon I plan to run HeroScape as the second game system, so those of you that are into both games will have twice the playing options.
