I agree... They're all so cool! I have to go with Dr. Octopus. He was my favorite for quite a few years. But I also like Rhino, the Lizard, Carnage, Shocker/Ultimate Shocker, Green Goblin, Kraven, Mysterio, Electro, Vulture, Venom, the Sandman, Scorpion... Spider-Man definitely has the best rogues gallery. Batman is second.

Venom + Carnage = My fave villains and the Real Deadly alliance.
Oh, and shouldn't this be in Marvel Universe?

Hydro-Man! He's awesome, especially when he fuses with Sandman:D

I agree! Spidey has a great array of cool villans. Batman is great as well. Spidey BatmanGreen Goblin Joker SandMan/ Hydroman Clay Face Scorpion Two Face Kraven Riddler Electro Scare Crow Venom (That guy who pumped himself up with drugs, do you remember) Both very awesome! My personal favorite of Spidermans has always been Venom. That is why I am so pumped up about Spidey 3.

Actually Venom is in the movie. The Symbiont is Venom. The black slime is Venom. He attaches to whoever will wear him making the host stronger until ultimately taking complete control of the host. No, Peter will not necessarily be "evil", but he will do things that he normally would not do.
It attached to Peter, then to Brock.

I say that the best Spider Man Nemesis of all time is probably Speed Demon, because he fought the flash too, and I stil have that old comic.

What, nobody remembers the awesome comic that got published in several magazines in the mid-90's where Spider-Man fought the evils of smoking cigarettes? Best. Villain. Ever.

Who by the way is definatly his best villian I think his name is Bane. yes it is, didn't speack much in batman and robin which was disapointing as the comic character was much better. He even broke batmans back at one point

I like Venom and Carnage, but in small doses. Hobgoblin is cool, but I don't remember much of his personality. While I'm neutral on Doc Ock in the comics and cartoons, Movie Ock friggin' ROCKED! I'll take Electro over Shocker. I liked Sandman when he was struggling to become a good guy. He even joined the Avengers at one point. I was disappointed when he went back to being a villian. Does Iron Man count as a Spidey villian now?

I always saw Kingpin as more of a Daredevil villian than a Spidey one (oh, the interweaving of having so many heroes, anti-heros and villians all in New York...), but he's one of my favorites, the whole modern day Morierty thing he's got going. (And if you don't know who Morierty is, shame on you and go read Doyle.)
Venom's a good villian since he's not as much evil as he is angry at everything and pushed over the edge. I mean, he and Spidey teamed up a couple times and in one of the animated series, Venom sacrificed himself to defeat Carnage and Dormammu.
Doc Ock always struck me as the 'Anti-Spidey' more than Venom ever did. Think about it, both Octavious and Peter were in lab accidents (radioactive spider bite and reactor explosion, respecively), both lost something they cared about (Uncle Ben and Ock's standing in the scientific community), but one uses the results of the accident for good while the other turned to evil.
But for pure villianous evil, there's only one of Spidey's rogues (no relation to the X-Man named Rogue) that comes to mind - Green Goblin. He killed Gwen Stacy, Ben Reilly, and caused the stillborn death of May Parker in the mainstream Marvel universe. He knows Peter's secret identity, he has no qualms about killing, he's backstabbed more 'teammates' in the Sinister Six than there are in any given incarnation of the group, in the Ultimate universe he brainwashed his own son... Which is why he's one of my favorites; his great evil brings out the greatest good in Spider-Man.

Funny, I always see Kingpin as a Punisher villain, primarily because I've read a heck of a lot more Punishers than SpiderMans. I've never really been a big Spidey fan, to be honest.
I tend to agree with you, TM, that the Green Goblin is probably the most diabolically evil of them all, probably on the level of Dr. Doom.
