I picked up this great book from DK books : The Ultimate Guide to Transformers! Its very cool. Stats on most of the characters From G1- Beast wars, Armoda and Energon. even stuff from the comics. Very nice artwork. Gives a synopsis of each episode. it even has pics. and info. on the toys. No mention of the attacktix though. Its a must have for any TF fan young or old. I was up until 2am reading it sat. night.

Yeah, it was a long night when I first got my copy also! The majority of the stuff I knew, but it's still so interesting when it's compiled in that time line format.

How many pages? It's gotta be pretty fat to hold all the info on the Transformers universe...

This is the new 2007 version right? I just picked one up on ebay because I read this thread ;D I'm really into transformers but I was too young to remember watching G1, the next thing I remember was beast wars and then the series with the four planets, one being the beast planent, not too long ago. So I need some schooling ;D. I'd really like to get a box set of the G1 and Armada. Which transformers series do you guys like best. Hmmm, sounds like a good idea for a poll ;D

Yeah, the book will help you to chose which series you'd like to delve into first. I love 'em all! ;D and then the series with the four planets, one being the beast planent, not too long ago. That would be Cybertron, the series. The 4 planets were [glow=red,2,300] Earth[/glow], [glow=red,2,300] Speed[/glow] (Velocitron), [glow=red,2,300] Jungle[/glow] (Don't think it had name), and [glow=red,2,300] Giant[/glow] (Gigantion...I think ).

Yeah, I just checked my email. It's finally been shipped. Hooray! ;D
I have seen some G1 cartoons I liked. I'd really like to start there. I know I watched beast wars when I was younger. I remember thinking it was a little odd of fuzzy things to turn into machines. But I loved Megatron as a T-rex, that was a great choice. I guess the just made Optimus a gorilla because of Primate (prime). I wished they would have made him another creature. However, I loved Silverbolt!

The book is really good. My only complaint is that there is no Cybertron series in it!

The book is really good. My only complaint is that there is no Cybertron series in it! I had the same complaint about it. Though, when the original pressing of the book came out, I don't believe Cybertron had finished airing yet. Then again, if the one you got is the updated copy and it still doesn't contain any Cybertron information, then that is pretty lame! Either way, the stuff it does contain is useful and they did put a lot of work into it. It's still a good investment.

Yes, it is filled with valuable information! And yes it is the updated version, and no still no cybertron series Anyway speaking of transformers series, does anyone know any good deals on box sets? Did they come out with a box set containing more than one series? How many box sets are there? All question I could probably find out over the INTERNET but I'd rather ask here since most of you know what your talking about ;D

Well, in the US there has been: TF G1 Season 1 set TF G1 Season 2 part 1 set TF G1 Season 2 part 2 set TF G1 Season 3 part 1 set TF G1 Season 3 part 2 / Season 4 set Beast Wars Season 1 set Beast Wars Season 2 set Beast Wars Season 3 set Beast Machines -Complete Series set TF Armada Season 1 part 1 set TF Armada Season 1 part 2 set ....And I think that's all for now. I believe it was Rhino that released all of these, but unfortunately, I think they're all out of print by now. There were other individual DVDs released for Energon/Cybertron, but not spanning the entire series'.
