It's pretty cool. You make yourself up to 12 characters (fanmade, you can't really use pre-existing characters). You send then into missions or into the fighting arena. It's almost like the old text-based role playing games... you don't actually control the characters though. Once you send them into their mission, you wait about 20 minutes or so and get a mission report. You earn experience and energon (used as currency) to buy ability upgrades and weapons and the like. It doesn't sound very interesting the way I've described it, I suppose, but you find yourself getting pretty attached to your characters. I've been playing it for quite a while, some three years or so, my team's the Mars Decepticons... an AUTOBOT team. (LONG story...)

I've been playing for about 2 years... and I've only just now had two of my characters finally hit level 2. My wife's been on it just as long, and still has one character at lvl. 0. Slow progression, but still- it's addicting.
