There has been brief and tantalizing mention on the TixCon thread about the use of the new Marvel Starter Set, and the new "web ball spidey" in particular, being used in some games.
So spill, dish, gab, blab, chirp, sing. Give us some info, the 411, the dilli-o.

Big Base Mase won and had to play this set in the 3 way versus Yadabreaker with the SW series 5 set and myself with the TF 2 starter set. We will be posting all the info soon, Mace and I got home late last night and so they will be posted shortly.
But I know all about their goodness. ;D

Big base mace was kind enough to allow me to handle the new starter spider-man. He didnt seem too thrilled about the figure at the time. And really after testing out his tossing attack, I wasnt really over inthused either. It looked really cool, and I thought he was easier to aim than the hulk (my hulk seems to throw straight down from time to time), he also tossed with good distance.... But I dont know, I guess Im just not too big on tossers.... Dont be fooled though, Ill still buy one when I see it.

He takes practice, but if you give it fifteen or twenty minutes, I got to be pretty accurate with it. Also, kids love the tossers. Alsos also, you can fire arcing shots on demand with him, making him usable from behind a blocker line or in 3d terrain (which is the future of tixcon btw).

Wish I had the chance to play you Webhead on that awesome setup. Everytime I would finish a match I was right back at it again, but I am not complaining, it all worked out pretty well for me. ;D

If using terrain is the future of Tixcon (and likely attacktix, at that) then I am one happy camper. Using obstacles to one's advantage (like indigenous folliage, burnt-up vehicles and the like) is the logical extension of small-squad urban warfare tactix!

Yagg Finn asked me to write reviews for all the characters and I will give them to him to post on www.masterattacktix.com/ under figure reviews. They will include speed, point value, probability of being white and a thorough review. I will let you all know that despite knocking down two of Yoda breakers figures in the three way match I was not impressed with web toss Spider-Man. You guys are going to freaking love Hulk, forget the 40 points, he's worth it.

Well if using terrain is the future of attacktix Maybe if there is a Tixcon next year, every board could have different terrain! ;D It would definitely make for some awesome battles!!!

I agree BF0007, and I am currently making some modifications to my playtable similar to the old "Game of Life" where the terrain may be removed or added fairly easily for variance in play, and the 'outline' of the building, shrub, or whatever is there so I can remember where to put them for different scenarios.
I am thinking of making some polystyrene blocks and dremel-carving them into shapes like Turbolaser turrets (from the Death Star attack) as well as some modelling-clay hills and dales for Hoth (white, snowy) and Tattooine (sand dunes and a Jawa sandcrawler).

Well, I might be jumping the gun here, but this could be the best starter to date. It's certainly the best Marvel starter, and I think it may even best the S2 Grievous/Kenobi one. (Oh no, isn't that the equivalent of Attacktix blasphemy?!)
