Best Marvel teams?
First off, if you are playing tournament style, you go with cheap figures. 10 Avengers Spider Man, 6 Elektra and 2 Daredevil, or a combination of 100pts from the two Spider Mans from the Origins Starter, the 10pt Striker ane the 20pt Launcher, with a lot more of the striker or no launcher at all. Those would be the only three teams that matter.
If you play a little more casually than that, you have more options.
Marvel Knights is the best faction in Marvel. Daredevil, Elektra, Ghost Rider, and Western Ghost Rider are all fantastic figures, and you can build a very good team just out of those four.
Spider Man has two killer figures from the starter set, 10pt 50% attackback Striking Spider Man and 20pt, Large Base, heavy web-blast Armored Spider Man with 40% or so Battle Cry. Those two alone make a killer team, though you'll have to buy a hell of a lot of starters to do it.
Pole swinging spidey can fuel a strong team, especially if you are playing 200pts. Even one turn of three attacks can change the game. There are a lot of figures you can mix and match, like the Ghost Riders, Thing, Beasts(multiples only), Sabertooth, Captain America, Green Goblin, Venom(recruit doesn't check what you have in play), ect.
I like the X-Men figures, but the lack of a strong 10pt figure hurts them. A 200pt team with 40-50pts worth of 10pt Spider Men could be very strong. Prodder Wolverine, Beast, and Gambit are all solid teammates.
The Brotherhood suffers heavily for the lack of a 10pt sacrifice for Magneto, and don't work well.
The Sinister Syndicate has a great 10pt building block in Electro, but the other figures are all expensive and not good value for their point costs.
The Hidden don't really have enough figures to be very effective, but Abigor and Blackheart both have very strong special powers.
I'm not terribly happy with the Avengers. The only launchers are 40pt figures in Captain America and The Hulk. They have 10pt Spider Man, but Captain America and The Hulk are not figures that support 10pt strikers. I could see a decent 200pt team with these guys with Western Ghost Rider or Electro for launchers, but that's probably it.

Shockers can, and will, happen when the next tournie goes down. Five Beasts or five Ghost Riders could be good, not great but good, squad. If powers follow you and you get enough multi-kills you have a great chance. Another one you forgot is ten Electros. Also, variations of the above work well to. My 100-point "3 Elektra, Daredevil, Punisher, Ghost Rider" team works beautifully at the moment and will get even better once I score that last Elektra to trade Punisher out for a twenty-pointer like Western Ghost Rider. Basically, I have to feel that anyone can win with the teams you described. I'm not knocking that fact but it's true. I bet my dad could beat any decent player if he was running one of those teams against a smaller squad. The thing with me is that I don't like playing "perfect" teams. I never follow any status quo, if I do I always end up changing what I used and melding it to my liking. It takes skill to win with a five Beast squad where a ten Spidey merely takes cash... or credit! ;D

Based on the fact that Hasbro has not yet come out with any rulings on Gold figures, we need to ask what is likely to beat 6 Jedi Knights and 2 Gold Ki-Adi Mundi's (IMO).
I submit to you...2 Spider-mans (20 point Armored from Origin starter) and 6 Spider-Man (10 point origins starter). I think that's the one. I got some other cross universe stuff brewing, but these Spider-Men make a STRONG team.

i ahve to disagree with part of that
I belive the green goblin is probably the best shooter in marvel And Doc oc of what i ahve seen looks pretty good to
I think the Sinister siynicade will be a powerful team
heres a 100 point team of them i am looking at
Green goblin x1 Electro x 6
or
green goblin x1 electro x 3 Doc oc x1
i think if they make more of them the Sinster syndicad will be tough

One of my "for fun" 200 point teams is as follows:
Pole-Swing Spider-Man x2 Beast x3 Electro x2 Blackheart Any combination of Marvel figs that equals 20 points and none of the figs can be X-Men, Sinister Syndicate, Spider-Man, or The Hidden (I currently use one of the two Ghost Riders, once I get a third Electro it'll probably be him and another ten-pointer)
Basically a lot of redundant systems here to make the most of the three attacks. Electro gives you shooting support until your strikers get into play, two Spideys make it more likely to keep the three attacks, five factions which means one faction can be completely killed off yet you'll still have three attacks, and all the figures (depending on the last twenty points) have ways to keep themselves or another copy of themselves inplay.

I'm currently fond of the Abigor/Wallow package. It's a solid 40 point shooter base to add to a lot of teams, and the two figures support each other with their powers.

I've generally found it best to play mixed teams instead of pure one faction teams. Lets look at Marvel under those terms:
Marvel Knights--The Daredevil/Elektra pairing is strong enough to stand on its own, though it could benefit from most anything to round it out on a 200pt team, including the two Ghost Riders. I've found that the two Ghost Riders really aren't a strong team by themselves, and are best as a support figure on teams based around other figures, and thanks to being faction neutral they can support any team in the game.
Spider Man--The main building points on this team are 10pt striker Spider Man with 50% Attackback(Spider Man) and 20pt Armored Spider Man. These are both low point cost figures, and are somewhat faction neutral, as Armored Spider Man works with anything and 10pt Spider Man supports multiples of himself. You can easily add some bigger and more powerful figures on a 200pt team, like Green Goblin, who needs Warriors for his special power. On the other hand, there is Pole-Swinging Teamwork Spider Man, who is obviously meant for mixed teams.
Avengers--I'm not terribly fond of any of these figures. 10pt Spider Man is not as good as the Origins starter version. Thor has a version of Force Push and is hard to justify for 30pts, and Hulk is an improved Chief Chirpa. The only figure of note is Captain America, who is very dangerous and thanks to it has a huge target on his chest to go with his horrible defense. He also might as well not have a special power. That being said, if you can maneuver him to attack twice in one turn, his 40pts is justified, and you can add him to most any team in the game.
X-Men--The lack of a 10pt figure holds the X-Men back a little, especially on 100pt teams. For 100pts, I'd only go with five Beasts, with maybe a 20pt Wolverine or two spliced in. All of the best X-Men have special powers keyed on X-Men, which makes them not work well with others. They could still benefit from some cheap shooters like S4 Greedo on a 200pt team.
Fantastic Four--There is only Thing, and you can't make a 100pt team or 200pt team out of just Thing. His special power is completely faction free, and he's interesting thanks to his Super Optimus Prime level defense, so put him on any team.
The Hidden--Best used with some support from other figures. Abigor and Blackheart are a fairly strong pairing, but don't really fill out a team by themselves. I wouldn't bother with Wallow, since he has virtually the same attack as Abigor, and the same special power with a much worse activation percentage. Particularly on a 200pt team, should be supported by other figures.
Sinister Syndicate--Electro, Venom and Green Goblin are all playable, but aren't really a good team on their own. Green Goblin needs warriors, so some good additions to this team are Sabertooth, Kit Fisto and Jedi Knights, as this team needs some strong strikers.
Brotherhood--Not having a 10pt figure to eat really hinders Magneto. I'm not terribly fond of Pyro, and Mystique is a sneaky figure that is best held behind the front line to ambush enemy strikers. The best Brotherhood teams would be 2-3 Sabertooth and 2-3 Mystiques, combined with strong leaders from other factions like Super Optimus Prime, Grand Moff Tarkin, Darth Vader, ect.

I have now come up with the best marvel 100 pt team(and only bought three boosters to do it). Wolvie(booster) x2 Thor Punisher
It will crush every body. The wolvie's support each other, Thor is a beast, and you keep punisher back until the end if it ever comes to that. Ha Ha. Actually it probably couldn't beat alot of teams but it wallops anything my bros have(might have something to do with the all megatron team?)

The way my hulk is playing, my 100pt team would be hulk and 6 m1 spidey's. If I am getting whites, its going to be a bad day for my opponent.

I played a variation of that team tonight. When you whites are hitting then the team is great, but if they aren't and your opponent doesn't have any leaders in play for your Wolverines then you are busted. So here is another one.
Captain America 40 Hulk 40 Pole Swing Spidey 30 Ghost Rider 20 Green Goblin 40 3 Avenger Spider-Man 30
Captian America has a strike attack and shoot attack that counts as one, and you pole swing with 4 different factions get you 3 attacks a turn so then you can launch your Hulk and Green Goblin until you get your avenger Spider-man in play, and if any spideys are white then they can't touch your Avengers on the next turn. Try it out

Ok I have been practicing the past few nights and I have a bold statement to make on a 100 pt. team. In MY hands a this is virtually unbeatable.
Hulk x2 M1 spidey x2
I afraid that hulk may become unusable in tournaments once people realize his potential.

Well, I guess Thursday night we'll find out just how great that team is If you have a good aim, then I agree that those two Hulks are going to be tough to beat. But you know you don't want to see Beast coming after you again and again.
