Dear Hasbro,
Tonight, I tore open my Marvel Heroes Starter Set and was shocked to see that a glaring error somehow made it to print in Spider-Man's special power.
It reads, "Your opponent may not move any of there Leaders on their next turn."
How did this make it past all the people who probably read it before it went into the box? It's bad enough that the pronoun you intended to use doesn't match the antecedent (it should be "his or her," not "their," because "opponent" is singular,) but since you used it twice, it seems to me that you should have at least used the same spelling both times.
PS - I am available for freelance proofreading if you're interested in hiring me!

In their more recent figures, they had several errors in punctuation, too. Omega Supreme's SP is missing a period, Omega Sentinel has two periods, and AT-RT(gold base) has two periods as well. And doesn't Webhead do the written parts of figures, such as SP? Hmm...

Well then I should probably clarify that I'm not trying to be a jerk; I'm just a stickler for this kind of thing, because it drives me crazy!

I suspect that the reason they used "their" rather than "his or her" is because English lacks a gender-neutral singular possessive, and "their" is increasingly widely used for this purpose in common usage (though it is technically incorrect). Furthermore, "their" requires only 5 characters to write, whereas "his or her" requires 9. When character space is tight on a base, it may be necessary to perform these sorts of truncations.
However, it does seem like the proofreading was off on the "there" instance.

One more step in the proofreading department shows that not all of the mistakes are hidden on the bottom of the figures. Upon closer inspection of my Ghost Rider starter figures, I noticed that Western Ghost Rider has a typo IN ITS NAME! Check your own and see if I am among the lucky collectors who found a rare production error, or if this is a rampant problem. Oh, the mistake to look for? Western Ghost RIDRER. Yeah. Now unless I am missing some allusion to the comics (which I am not familiar with) this is a serious mistake that could infuriate Marvels suits to the point of pulling future lines, and that my friends, is a bad thing.

See? I'm not insane. THERE ARE ERRORS EVERYWHERE.

Profanicon - when I got my spidey I was so ticked as well. That sort of thing drives me nuts!! It was the first thing I noticed when I looked at all the figures and I complained loudly to my husband. He shrugged and did not share my outrage. I'm glad someone else does!!!!
Did you really send them a letter? I think I'm going to send one too.

HAHA, I didn't send them an actual letter; I just posted that here to be funny! However, now that I'm remembering all of the little things I've noticed in the past, I think they should be made aware of the need to proofread things before sending them to print. I'd do it for them for free just to ensure I wouldn't get angry every time I look at a label that says something like, "Western Ghost Ridrer!"

RIDRER is the European spelling

Well apparently Western Ghost "Ridrer" is the only one european made, since striking Ghost Rider and the Mega are spelled "Rider"! ;D
Our Spiderman has the same spelling on it and Western has the mis-spelling on it as well.
Also, has anyone noticed in Gambits card throw that the Ace of Diamonds is black? I always thought diamonds were red....

I've said this too many times before, but I'll add it to this since it belongs.
The description of the Vanquish power on Blackheart and in the rulebook is not 100% clear on what the power does.
I forgive you guys though, keep up with the good game.
