Marvel Attacktix Spider-Man Origins Starter Set - Preorder at Entertainment Earth Entertainment Earth looks like its the first e-retailer to take preorders for Marvel Attacktix. They are showing the Ghost Rider Starter Set and the Spider-Man Origins Starter Set. Previously, SDCC described the Spider-Man Starter Set as a Wal-Mart exclusive. However, this may only pertain to brick and mortar stores, and all online stores may carry it. No matter how you look at it, the good news is Hasbro has released images of the Origins Starter and the Spider-Armor Spider-Man looks incredible! Marvel Attacktix - Spider-Man Origins Starter Set

All I have to say is, why is Armored Spidey only 20 points? Can you say "Cheapest Force Blaster Ever"? Seriously, here's hoping that those are still mere production images and the real figures have better point balance.

Seriously, here's hoping that those are still mere production images and the real figures have better point balance. I sort of disagree about this - force battlers have tended to be weaker and the least popular of the SW figures (although personally I think they're awesome). So I think 20 points is reasonable.

Does the Green Goblin have flight capabilities like S4 Boba Fett? If you look at the picture, his glider is definitely a separate piece from the puff of smoke beneath it. Is that because it is designed to be detachable for air attacks, or is it just wishful thinking on my part?

Hmm... good point. Still, 20 seems like a big and sudden jump from the normal 40s we've seen. I think 30 might have been better. Still, it won't mean I'm not using the guy if I get him! ;D I'd have to say wishful thinking. Out of all the other production shots I've seen, I've never spotted a string. However, they might have not attached the string during these photos, that way they're a surprise. Good catch on the glider, though.

Yeah, 20 points for a force pushing big based figure might be a little low, but maybe his death ability is like "Remove one of your figures from play" or something to that nature. Then again his point value is liable to change, but I'm going to try on of him on my team. He is currently a really good deal.
As for Green Goblin? Yeah, OK. I can see where you are going. Those two pieces look pretty independent. They might separate for a "flying" figure.

Armored Spidey looks outstanding!! If he's really 20 points, then I'll finally have a force blaster worth using (sorry Phoenix!)
Is that 10 point Spidey a Striker? Woohooo, that would be awesome. I just watched X3 for the first time two nights ago, I'm all ready for these Marvel figures to come out!

The thing I noticed most was its speed of 6.

I cant wait to get a hold of these spiderman figures... They look to be some of the best starter figures ever. A 20 point force blast figure, a 10 point striker... And does it look possible to anyone else that the green goblin may be able to fly? That would certainly make up for his enormous 40 point price tag... Well, make up for a little of it.

Satisfaction comes from WINNING with the new toys, not the simple acquisition. ;D

I'm showing this pic to a friend right now and he pointed out that it looks like force blast Spidey can't move his arms up or down.
