Hasbro phone support has reported there is a Marvel Starter Set scheduled for a Winter 2006 release.
He can NOT be any more specific, but Christmas for sure (they better get there 6 days before 2006 is over) and the Thanksgiving date looks like a real possibility. Of course, his guess means nothing.
You can reach us during business hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM EST. # Games (Milton Bradley, Parker Brothers, Hasbro Games)
888-836-7025 (not accessible from Canada)

I am assuming the boosters will be coming, too. It sounded like the Starter was the only Marvel thing he could find, he didn't even know they were making them. I told him I saw it at SDCC, he sounded excited

Well that gives me a little longer to finish my Star Wars series 4 set before the Marvel stuff hits shelves.
Does anyone know if we will also get SW series 5 and TF series 2 at the same time??

I don't believe that anyone has seen or heard anything at all about either SW5 or TF2 up to this point, so I would venture to guess that they probably won't be until the first or even second quarter of next year.

I just saw the Hasbro Marvel Spider-Man Origins 2-Packs at Target in Tampa. Nothing else new from Hasbro/Marvel, but I did also pick up 3 of the 4 Galactic Heroes 10-packs!
So, Hasbro/Marvel is shipping! Thanks for the OK update!!

Thats awesome !!! when do you think PA will be getting some shippments?? Where in PA do you live? No way to tell really. In the past they have been spotted in Florida first... then up North and now OK is the lucky one. No rhyme or reason as far as I can see.

The distribution is very weird. I remember being one of the first to get ahold of SW3 boosters.. Then I was one of the last to find SW4 and TF1.. It also seemed like a very long time before I finally found the SW4 and TF1 starters with the extra figures.
And I still to this day have NEVER seen a Jabba on a store shelf..... That really bugs me for some reason...

Considering how poorly Hasbro distributed other collectible game things(B-Daman, Beyblade), I wouldn't be surprised if the coasts(particularly the East Coast) get them first, with the midwest area getting it a month later.
