From what I can see, Pole-Dancer Spidey's pole twists midway up, which (I hope) will make him like what Kicker Kenobi could have been - a kicking striker with a massive striking surface. It's fascinating that Daredevil and Elektra seem to have the same sort of uppercut attack, though it makes their connection a bit more obvious. Too bad I'm not a big fan of the uppercut attack Likewise, it's really nifty to see Wolverine and Sabertooth both as strikers (with Sabertooth having the Wookiee claw!), and Spidey and Gobby as special blasters. I wonder how many pumpkins are going to be lost Ghost Rider's scuplt is amazing - makes it worth not buying the Marvel Showdown figure. And that Mega - wowza. Though it does have a lot going on, I see that as a positive, rather than a negative. It'll be interesting to see what the attack rules for it all. It also looks like the motorcycle might detach from the base. Perhaps you can shoot, then move the motorcycle to strike with the chain?

Is the starter seriously only going to be at Wal-Mart? Or is the Spiderman-Only Starter going to be exclusive to Walmart?

Is the starter seriously only going to be at Wal-Mart? Or is the Spiderman-Only Starter going to be exclusive to Walmart? I wouldn't put too much faith in that Starter... I know as much as you, but I also remember the SW Starter featured at Toy Fair 2006 didn't come out as planned.

Wow! My wife is a major X-Men fan, so she's ecstatic about playing X-Men against Star Wars!

Wait A minute I thought doctor octopus was in the booster packs!!!! Not in the starter set. that I want Hulk and Green Goblin It looks like the all Spiderman Starter (Spidey, mystery figure, Goblin & Doc Ock) will be a Wal*Mart exclusive and the regular Marvel Starter (Spidey, Goblin, Wolverine & Sabertooth) will be sold everywhere. But like Joe said these Starter Sets are prone to changes before they hit the shelves.

Why is Gambit worth 30?

He's got the force blast style attack...that's pricey always.

I think, think, the mystery starter fig is an "armored" spidey version of the web shooter spidey. It looks like he has the Spidey-Class and the same pose...but it's hard to tell for sure.

He's got the force blast style attack...that's pricey always. In fact, in all of the Star Wars Attacktix, the force blasters are all 40 points. So you're getting a good deal with Gambit! But Electro is listed as a 10 point figure... that seems pretty unlikely to me. And lots of the strikers have 6 speed, so I wouldn't count on all of these numbers being right.
