I was thinking that maybe there should be a new section for marvel attacktix. I know they are only speculation at this time. But are not GI joe attacktix also speculation?

Marvel attacktix might be a cool idea, but it might have less Troopers than others, but that isn't really much of a problem. I think LOTR atacktix would be great. I already have some ideas, of what some abilities and whatnot could be, but I'm getting off-topic.

Yes, LOTR would also be cool. But really I guess Marvel attacktix are a bit more than speculation now that hasbro has some licensing agreement with marvel.
Yes, its still a “in our dreams” sort of thing, but its far more likely than anything else we have dreamed up.

LOTR attacktix is probably far less likely to happen than Marvel attacktix right now.

Sounds like a good idea, and with the Hasbro/Marvel license.. and Spider-Man 3, Hulk 2, FF 2, and Ghost Rider, I think it may be the next logical property for Attacktix...
We will see if this or Sigma Six comes out first!

Doesn't Marvel kinda already have an "attacktix" line out with Super Hero Showdown from ToyBiz, though? I mean, I saw it in the store and said,"Wow, a cheesy knock-off of Attacktix. And since we're speculating with Hasbro's licensing, how about a Magic: the Gathering Attacktix line?

And since we're speculating with Hasbro's licensing, how about a Magic: the Gathering Attacktix line? I dont know anyone that has actually played the Super Hero Showdown GAME. I only know people that have collected the figures. Which is practically Toy Biz's marketing campaign. "MARVEL LEGENDS supero hero showdown" it's called now, which cracks me up because they are appealing to collectors with a name like that. Anyway, Toy Biz loses their license at the end of this year and Superhero Showdown will be no more, hence our speculation at Attacktix. Wizards of the Coast handles the Magic properties though , not sure Hasbro will expand on that anytime soon. It is a very specialty market IMO.

Yes, they DID... but again, Hasbro now has the license. Hasbro will NOT be making any articulated figures along the lines of Legends, that and Showdown really was a bomb.
Hasbro hopes to expand the Attacktix line, so this is only a guess. But it is 100% certain that Marvel Legends and Showdown will cease to be produced by October or so.
I don't know much about Magic, but until I hear any type of rumor I'll keep that board in limbo... but the Attacktix rumor was on Rebelscum, I believe.
PS: Phoenix and I are in two different zipcodes... scary huh?

I figure Hasbro will wait at least until the new Marvel dice game is off the shelves.
At first I thought Hasbro wouldn't make Star Wars, Transformers, and Marvel at the same time,....but now after remembering what the toy shelves look like. Hasbro makes all kinds of stuff. So they might come out when they promote series 5.

Hasbro hopes to expand the Attacktix line, so this is only a guess. I'd imagine that Hasbro will continue the Attacktix line, as long as there is still money to be made.

I recognize that Hasbro is not responsible for making the battle dice game, but it would seem like it would be best to let the battle dice run it's course before introducing a new marvel game, unless Hasbro intends to be in direct competition...which I think it would win with a game format like attacktix vs. a dice game.
Very well Joe, let the battle for shelf space begin!!! (Attacktix will win every time)

Battle Dice have no plans to stop anytime soon. A DC set will be coming out, and the Playmate guys we talked to at MegaCon already have Series 2 Die Throwers (Marvel's Mr. Fantastic and DC's Green Lantern? or Superman?) and prototypes for Series 2 and DC. Taking them well into the last quarter of 2006.
Unlike TV scheduling, this kind of thing will have no effect on the release of Marvel product. Attacktix are in a class of their own, as are Battle Dice (IMO). They will compete for shelf space... I'll stick with Attacktix.

That would be amazing. Apart from Star Wars, Marvel comics are my favorite thing. I have a ton of comics from the 1970's, and I read them every night. If they made Marvel, I'd surely buy them.
