I thought it to be a cap.

Did everyone understand that we were making a uniform movement rate?
Aye or Nay. I had no idea you folks didn't understand that - I thought ID made it unfalteringly clear.

Nay
I think the confusion came from the question itself. An answer of "6" could mean figures are limited to 6 or they have uniform movement of 6.
1. Speed, limit, make uniform, or leave unchanged. a. 6 b. 8 c. No Limit

Like I said, I thought it was a cap. Honestly I haven't paid close attention to what was going on, but at a quick glance that's what I gleaned from it.

Food for thought...how did those of you who played feel that the "reloading optional" rule worked at TixCon?

I think it worked out exceptionally well. The figs that had Tripod ability used it, and the figures that were normally not playable (like Force Blasters) ended up being played! Venom was no harder or easier to kill than usual, so all was well with the world.

I had 0 problems with it. I think it makes the game go smoother IMO.

One other thing - most people also used the 'transform in place' rule as well and I think it was well received. IT really made the TFs more equal with SW.

Food for thought...how did those of you who played feel that the "reloading optional" rule worked at TixCon? Even though I was/am against it, it didn't seem to change much aside from making a few figures more playable. I'd say the new option fit in just fine. One other thing - most people also used the 'transform in place' rule as well and I think it was well received. IT really made the TFs more equal with SW. That totally saved my butt in several situations, so I'm glad this is now a rule. On a side note, as far as TixCon goes, I think the only problem anyone had with rules had to do with the starting line. Being that it's your event, Brett, I'd suggest that in the future we play 2 tix from the line rather than right on it. Of course, that is entirely up to you, but I know there were quite a few players that were sour about losing so many figures so early in the game.

2 Tix for the edge is what the Quick Start Guide says.

2 tix from the edge makes for a sound buffer so as not to lose troops on the first attack because of positioning.
