Some people are just freakish about their collection. To me there is nothing wrong with it. It's just that some people want them to be right on the money and no in betweens. However, you have to remember. Not everyone is perfect and we are talking about Hasbro here.

Yea gang. I don't see any slaps in the face here. These Transformers Generation 1 Attacktix are based on the 80's cartoon show and not the actual 80's toys. In some cases like Rumble it may upset you but I'm sure that you are happy about it in other cases. Would you rather have a Ironhide that looks like this: or like this:

Hah, those toys were hilarious, a lot of them were awesome but I never liked Ironhide, he looks like and opened box with a rocket and two arms.

You got your cartoon-accurate Ironhide I just want Rumble to be red.

I wish I could say I know more about TF but I don't. I watched the cartoon as kid, since it followed GI Joe. But since we I couldn't have the expensive TFs I wanted as toys, (see Brett's column) I didn't retain as much... can someone help me with these questions:
Rumble is red in the G1 cartoon, or the original G1 toy?
Which came first, and why was the other changed? Was it a manufacturer error, or what?
Do the Attacktix stay true to the cartoon colors ONLY, or do they kind of mix and match?

I love the cassette's! With how low their points are, it would be easy to cram several cassettes in the back-ups, to support the Soundwave "Eject" idea (Superfly's?).

Ah yes, I am indeed the man! Why won't Brett subcontract me out! ;D
All I know is that it's looking more and more like I have to go ahead and buy TF2 now....and I REALLY didn't want to do that....

I never had a megatron toy, but always wanted one... That is until my friend across the street got one. I was put off by the looks of the megatron toy robot mode. He didnt look like the cartoon version, more like a go-bot version of the cartoon character. There were however, other transformer toys that I found to be much more accurate with the cartoon, and enjoyed much more.

I only ever owned 3 transformers - Blaster, Soundwave, and the little bird cartridge. I liked the idea of them, but us po' folk couldn't afford em.

No I never got any Transformers. Maybe some sucky arse Gobots, but never Transformers. Man, I hated Gobots!
Does anyone else find it peculiar that they showed us series 3 of Transformers already, but nothing of Star Wars series 6?
I was pondering on this and was thinking it is because maybe, just maybe someone at Hasbro let everyone there know that Series 2 Transformers wasn't getting a lot of support or much love.
G1 Transformers! Man I just want them to skip series 2 (except for that awesome starter with Megatron and O.P.) and go straight to series 3!!!

Some people are just freakish about their collection. Heh. Guilty! Even though my collection is (relatively) pretty darn modest. (Only three foriegn figures? How lame!) Man I just want them to skip series 2 (except for that awesome starter with Megatron and O.P.) and go straight to series 3!!! No no no way! series 2 has a few sparkling gems among the crud! Grimlock, Bumlby-bee, Prowl... and of course we'll need that Soundwave to go along with our series 3 casettacons and Blaster!
