Yes, I believe it is old news. However, there is good news. I just saved a bunch of money by switching to Geico! ;D Seriously though, from what I've heard, the tournament set was given away as a prize at BotCon a few weeks ago so that proves that it is on its way. Much better proof of existence than even a site listing if you ask me . What if the ONE product they used to take pictures of, and also seen at SDCC was given away at BotCon. How rare would that find be... anyone know who this winner was? He may have to be tracked down and dealt with.

The messy way or the stealthy, quiet way?

If that happened, can you say "million dollar toy"? Even if the guy opened it, TF fans would want it, Attacktix fans would want it, rare toy collectors would want it...
Dang, whoever would have it could be swimming in cash. Heck, if I'd won it I'd have sold it on Ebay right away. One of a kind at that moment, Attacktix fans reaching a feverish level of desire for the new stuff, I could see the thing selling for at least $75 if it showed up on Ebay tomorrow.

I think the fact that it is not out and the movie has been out for over a week proves that Attacktix is finished. Sorry, I hope it isn't true, but it makes ZERO sense to put out this product a week+ after the movie is out.

Note, this isn't specifically targeted at you, annointed1, but primarily just at pessimism itself. Don't take it personally, your post just happened to be the straw that broke this camel's back. Excuse me while I bust out Ataru's new smiley... Please, for my forehead, stop it with the pessimism already, everybody! Spider-Man 3 Tournament Set was in and out of most stores in a flash. My personal experience is as follows: It was at Target, a few weeks later was on clearance, and then it was gone before the SM3 movie was even out. My Wal-Mart finally stocked the thing this June, weeks after said SM3 was released. Does this mean Tix are dead since the only time the tournament set was really in stores (at least around my area) was weeks before and weeks after the movie? No, it proves nothing. Same thing with the TF Movie Set. Late /= Dead. How about some optimism already? Quite a few standard movie Transformers items at Target are on clearance right now. Anyone else thought that maybe this was to, you know, stock certain new TF Movie items that start with Attack and end with Tix? It's either that or Transformers must be dying because it is already on clearance . Nope, they're obviously preparing to restock something and I know what I'm putting my money on. My Wal-Mart currently has a massive open spot right above the old Attacktix starter sets and right next to the TF movie toys. Wonder what those are for... Face it, guys, Tix aren't dead. Late, maybe, but not dead. Geeze, with all the nay-saying going around, some newcomer would probably think this board is a bunch of apocalyptic masochists just counting down the days till the end of Attacktix.

Yes, late, not dead. With that said, I will add that if Hasbro does in fact want to keep this line alive. They need to address this immediately. We have waited far too long for S5 and S2. Something DOES need to give. With that said, I will add that it's funny that we are looking to have around 1000 board members real soon. How cool is that! And BTW.....my Walmart never carried the Spiderman 3 set. They still have around 5 SW VS TF sets that have been collecting dust for months.

I definitely, absolutely, 100% agree that Hasbro needs to get their butts in gear and start sending out the Tix. However, I also agree with something that superfly said in another thread awhile back. The problem is not only with Hasbro but with the various stores that carry Attacktix. If they have overstock with the old stuff, they don't get in the new stuff. If no one wants the old stuff, the old stuff never sells. If the old stuff never sells, the new stuff never comes in. I believe that this is the problem with my Wal-Mart. While they now have the open spaces for boosters, they have more starters than you can shake a stick at. I'd smuggle a camera inside if I could but I swear that they have at least forty assorted SW4, TF1, and GR starters sitting about. FORTY!! Then, they get the bright idea to put them on clearance... for $9. Yeah, great deal that is . Finally, I was incredibly surprised to see the Spider-Man Tournament set at Wal-Mart when they stocked about three of them a few weeks ago. They've only sold one but it gives me hope for the future.

I agree with the old stock/ new stock theory to a degree. Hasbro could control when they want old stock sent back and newer stock added onto the shelves. I am just not seeing anything being done.
For instance;
Galactic Heroes, Robot Heroes, and Super Hero Squad all come out when you still see old stock clogging up the pegs.
I see the 3 3/4 inch Star Wars figures still come out even though some sit there for what seems like forever.
So, yes old stock sucks and could possibly slow down the process of getting newer stock. However, I reaaaaaaaally don't think that is the problem right now. I feel Hasbro is doing nothing in this department right now. Maybe demand isn't as great as we think. I don't know.

I'm starting to think that grievous has an overly developed optimism reflex That said, I think it'd be funny to post subtle intimations about Tix dying off in as many different threads as possible and see what the threshold is for triggering said reflex ;D Eh, we've been doom sayers from the beginning. Curiously, when the TV networks chose to take long hiatuses this season, even the most popular series took a serious hit in ratings (even when the "release dates" were known quantities). I'm just hoping that a similar diminution of interest isn't going to be the case here.

Well, sorta. If I'm not optimistic, I'm pessimistic. If I'm pessimistic, my happiness level drops... fast. Therefore, I always do my best to look at the bright side of things. However, I also have a massive logic impulse so I'm not optimistic in the face of facts if things point the other way, only in the face of opinion and theory.
So, basically, if it's logical to be optimistic, I am. If it's illogical to be optimistic, I'm not. At the moment, my logic tells me that there is no reason to be pessimistic and, therefore, I should be optimistic. That make any sense?
True, and, as you've said, hopefully this doesn't send interest plummeting.

I think Hasbro will eventually come out with the new series'. Maybe we should write A nice, fancy, and sad sounding E-mail to Hasbro asking them to get the new Attacktix out!

Sure, everyone should email Hasbro!
If the delay is due to lack of interest. Let them know you are interested.
