I've looked all over the place, and it seems that Scourge is the King of the Transformers. Nobody seems to want to come off of them, and if they do, it's at a confiscatory price point.
Am I alone in thinking that these figures are becoming scarce and quite valuable?

Yes.
I believe that certain figures will always be more valuable than others even if they are not necessarily the best figure. With that said, I haven't done any research, but would have to say that generally from what I have seen T.F. do not go at the high market price on Ebay that Star Wars and Marvel seem to go for. Maybe Scourge is an anomaly, but I think it is just a few auctions here and there that could make one believe that he is the most valuable.
Battle Ravage for a striker is much better than Scourge. Scourge just looks neater.

Hee - I'd never even thought of someone wanting one. I'll have to get ready to offer mine at a "confiscatory price point" to finance additional Attacktix purchases. An 8-speed, small-based striker should be Wicket, not Scourge. However, it looks like the most recent one sold for only $3.49.

I know I was going mad with desire until I finally got a Scourge. I've never actually used him in a game, but he does look awesome.

I actually despise the axe, and his look.. I like him as he's a decent striker with a >50% chance of bringing a trooper back into play. (Destroyers in open matches are oh so nice - Like a Tion Medon for Destroyers!) ;D

I'd gladly sell Scourge, his defense is so bad he could be re-labeled "Stormtrooper". But judging from the past auctions it doesn't look like there's a huge market. Too bad, that's the only way I'd get any value from having him.

Same reaction here when I found Thing to be the highest priced figure on Everythingmageknight.com. One out of every two of my Marvels had him in it.

I would rather have a good striker that looks weird that have a crappy one who looks cool. I would pick Battle Ravage over Scourge in a second. But there probably are some people out there who just like collecting and don't actually play the real game, so Scourge could be worth more to some people.

I have scourge or AKA demon! sorry........ Anyway, the 2 small "dragons" on his shoulders broke off one time for me(dnt know why)during game play. But on the bright side, he's able to do a back hand swing.

But on the bright side, he's able to do a back hand swing. Wow, I've never heard of that happening. Mine doesn't really see that much action though (compared to my beloved Battle Ravages , so I really have no idea about how fragile the sculpt is.

I am a big fan of Scourge, and he was one of my favorite characters in the Cybertron TV Series. I crave that figure. Gideon[/glow]
