What do they shoot? It looks like I see some clear force blasts.

So does this mean that the SW starter is out now? I wonder when they will get into the hands of local retailers like Target and TRU.

According to the order form from Entertainment Earth, you get 1 Transformers starter and 2 Star Wars starters for 33.00 dollars and come change. Not including shipping of course.
Joe, did you not get a Star Wars starter set yet?

I don't think that Joe has them in hand. Notice that the article comes from a site called 16bit.com. It's their hands that are the hands that the starter is in.

Dang it! This is why I wish I could have a flingin' flanging job at my age! Knowing my luck all eight of these new figures are amazing and then everyone will beat me at TixCon because they get the darned figures early. Ah, well. At least there aren't any traditional strikers in the new starters so I don't have to worry to much on that front... Anyways, despite my rantings about how much I wish these weren't coming out so soon, it is good to see these are coming out so soon ;D. Hopefully the boosters wait a bit before coming out so I can actually have some cash on me when they're out and I don't have to sit around while everyone else starts singing the praises of TF2 and SW5. Yes, I am a selfish buzzard.

Previous edition starter sets have been $9.99 in stores. Since these are $33.99 for 3 sets, does that mean the price is going up I wonder?

From the picture on the box of the box from the "Full Story" link above, it looks like G1 Optimus shoots a force wave type projectile. It also appears his special power will be "Last Stand" similar to Captain America and the Punisher.
Then again, the back of the box has been wrong before (the current Marvel Boster box shows "Clone" as the special for the Spidey on the Pole when in fact it is rescue).
