I have a couple of Battle Ravages but I cannot seem to use them properly. Each time I attempt a strike, the mace would go in an upward arc and would just miss my target. What is the best way to use, for example how to hold him when striking.

I hold onto the mace itself, not the arm or body. I then place the mace directly in front of the target. Spin the base and release the mace while holding onto the base(or also turning to power strike). He is quite devastating.

Yeah Annointed 1 is right, that is the way to do it. At first I tried with the arm or string and was just frustrated, but when you pull back on the ball itself and twist the base counter clock-wise and let the ball go it is a wonderful attack. If his turn is a little sticky just add a touch of WD-40 and you'll be good to go.

I do the above, plus use the arm as the striking surface, rather than the ball. This way, you can fling figures across the playing field fairly nicely

the angle of the arm is also important
