The trick to tanks is not to over think. Do you remember Dori from Little Nemo. Remember when she said "just keep swimming, just keep swimming?"
Well, tanks is kinda like that. However replace swimming with shooting.
"Just keep shooting, just keep shooting!"

Yeah, that tends to be true with lots of video games, if you are haveing to do somethin kind of repetitive like that, then the more you think about it, the worse you end up doing, because it screws up your concentration....

I don't know, I think tanks is a thinking mans game. Keeping track of how many bullets you have out, the location of mines you can see, mines you cant see, # and location of various types of tanks, angles bullets and missiles will travel, open areas, exposed tanks, trapped tanks, timing attacks, and keeping an eye out for those white tanks.
I don't see how you could play that game without thinking.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. I am just saying that for beginners that just shooting and paying attention to where you are, are the essentials to getting yourself started. Once you get the hang of it, you start noticing angles, strafes, # of bullets, and strategies vs what color of tank they happen to be. I now have officially destroyed 266 tanks 2 times now. That board with the 2 blacks, 1 white, and bouncy bullet green tank is really hard.

The one with the stationary tank in the top right corner.....fills me with anger. I find it best to blow up part of the wall that is protecting him, it is easier that way.

I actually thought I was going to beat it the other day. I destroyed the bottom black on the right first. The black at the top went to the right and I thought "oh, good, I can get set up to destroy that dreaded green tank in the middle." However, I totally forgot about the white tank. He came down and started shooting at me. I paniced because he was driving me right into line with the green tank. I tried then to rush the white one, but it was too late at that time and he bounced a shot off of the bottom wall to get me.
Oh, well, I have done it 2 times now. Third time is supposed to be a charm, so we will see. ;D

Well, I just finished Twilight Princess today. Definitely one of the best games I have ever played in my life. The second mirror dungeon's first room made me SO nostalgic I could have cried. Also, Midna really is "teh roxxorz".
On another note, I got "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" for the Wii about two weeks ago. The game is a standard beat'em up but it has a lot of charm to it. However, the humor and characters will likely be lost on those who aren't fans of the show. The best part of the game might actually be the fact you can mix and match Gamecube and Wii controllers in multiplayer. This means that rather than spending $180 on the Wii-motes and Nunchucks in order to get four player, I just had to plug in my extra GC controllers.
Overall, Grim Adventures gets a 7/10 for G:B&M fans and a 5/10 for non-fans. If you do like the show, are searching for a new game and don't know what to buy, and see this game for $30 or so, it is money well-spent. Otherwise, think very carefully before you do so.

Has anyone played TMNT on the Wii yet? I got it today in the mail and was wondering if anyone else liked it. I have yet to play myself. My daugher played some and she liked it until it got too hard to make some of the jumps.

The TMNT seems to be getting good reviews. It is based off of the Prince of Persia engine. I only wish you could have more than one player. And I have little desire to play a game that is single player.

I really want to get the new Prince of Persia game. Looks great. i have never played the others, but it looks cool. I may just go and get the first one for PS2, then get the Wii one when it drop in price.
As for TMNT, I usually stay away from Movie Gmaes, but this looks interesting. Possibly worth a rent. If anyone else plays it for a while and likes it tell me.
As for TP, I am like 4 or 5 hours in to the game. I am in the third dungeon. That Water Temple.. So yeah...

I was very shocked myself. I have made it to level 60 and destroyed 266 tanks 3 times (4 counting when I finally passed it). It was like when I finally passed it, I wasn't nervous anymore. Level 60 is VERY difficult. I got a bonus tank which gave me 3 at the time. Level 80 is similarly difficult if not worse. I look forward to getting over 400 tanks. It is possible, I am sure.
