Sorry for the double post but I LOVE MY WII. Holy crap is this thing awesome. My mom (who is not a gamer at all) loves it so much. Right now we only have wii sports but in the near future were going to get more games. When we get it hooked up to the internet I will post my friend code. Look like waiting in snow for two hours payed off.

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves is one of the funnest, quirkiest, and just plain coolest game I have played in far to long. The announcer while the game is teaching you the various forms is hilarious, the microgames are awesome and creative (the "Drop It" game is easily the most psychological games ever) and don't even get me started about the multi-player. Even with three people it's fun and I can't imagine what it would be like with the maximum twelve! Highly recommended.
Wii Sports is an amazing pack-in title. As Jango said, even my mom loves it (specifically bowling). All of the games give you a great work out but Boxing is the best in that regard (some guy lost 9 pounds by playing Wii Sports thirty minutes a day for six weeks!). Again, highly recommended (but doesn't matter because it comes pre-packaged)!
Overall, the Wii has refreshed gaming in my entire family's eyes. The fact that you actually have to move a bit makes it so much more fun that just pressing buttons. I doubt I could EVER permanently go back to an old-style system now. Graphics be darned, give me motion sensitivity!

Wii is certainly taking off. Several times I have found Playstation 3 consoles at Walmart, but have yet to find even 1 Wii.

Red Steel is a complete disappointment, but I can't wait to disembowel critters in Zelda. They REALLY REALLY need to make a top-quality Star Wars title - every geek's dream: cut a brotha in half with a lightsaber...for real!

I couldn't agree more. How awesome would it be to use the wiimote as a lightsaber?

I got warioware too. Talk about fun Well, i just finished Zelda. What a game! long main quest, plenty of sidequests and minigames, not to mention the 50 floor cave of ordeals, definetly worth the price tag.

I have Zelda coming in the mail as we speak. Gamfly.com is really a good deal if you add up the costs of renting from Blockbuster.
What is everbodys Wii Sports level?
I am proud of my boxing one, 2349.

My bowling and boxing scores are both just over 1000 (pro), Tennis is 440+, and Baseball and Golf are quite low (100-).
Also, I'd like to tell everyone to ignore the Excite Truck reviews and at least give the game a rent. My brother picked it up for his birthday and it is quite fun. The multiplayer is a bit weak and the controls take a game or five to get used to but it is a great singleplayer arcade racing experience.

I played Excite Truck and only found it to be ok. I had a really hard time with the controls though.

The controls can be a bugger at first but after some time spent adjusting, I've gotten quite good with them. The main issue is learning the sensitivity and teaching yourself not to go into the Wario Ware "Chauffeur" form.
Next game we're getting for the Wii will probably be Super Smash Brothers Melee. We missed out on the Cube during the last gen and that's the main game I hate not being able to get. Our grandma's probably going to get the game, my brothers will each get a controller, and then I'll pick up the memory card for saving. Then it'll be Super Smash Brothers 64 all over again!

I've found a fun way to play tennis. Use a remote in each hand. That way you can independently control the swing of each one of your character on the court.

Has anyone tried Wiicade.com or any of the other free game download sites? As I understand it, you can use the Wii to get on the internet, then go to one of these types of sites to download games on the Wii. Not great games, but fun Flash programed games.
