This is the best movie of 2005! If anyone disagrees post it here and I will show you how you are wrong Ok - I won't do that, but I was a huge fan of the book AND movie. I saw the movie first THEN read the book, so I was never horrified with the differences from the true story. Tim Burton is wonderful, every shot if perfect. You want to EAT every candy bar you see and I don't even LIKE plain chocolate. And the best part is, if you HATE kids in movies, all these kids "get theirs" Freakin' Sweet!

This is the best movie of 2005! Shhh...SHHHHH! If you keep spreading scurrilous gossip like that, I'll be dragged to see it with her! Every promo I've seen has creeped me out, rather than made me want to see it. But there is that matter of the three battle cases... And wait a sec, what kind of blasphemy speak you on a Star Wars-related board?!? So, you're saying you should either eat up before going so that you're not tempted, or bring along a bunch to enjoy all the more? Candy, I mean Cute pun ;D

But there is that matter of the three battle cases... Did you finally break down and order them online rather than wait for them in the stores? I can't tell if this looks good or not. Sometimes I like Burton and Depp and sometimes they get a bit tooo wierd. Depp looks really freaky in this movie, but I am sure that the family will drag me kicking and screaming off to see it. Anyone see Fantastic 4 or Batman Begins? We are going to see Fantastic 4 tonight, and Batman Begins was freakin AWESOME! I really had my doubts going in, but the actors and story were over the top. In fact, I would even almost say that I thought that it was a better storyline then EP3 (NO don't say it NO!). I still enjoyed the whole star wars experiance the best, but a few holes in the story does drop it a grade from where it could have been in my opinion.)

The Series 1 completist in me just couldn't wait any longer, now that it seems official that the release date for more cases has slipped. Yeah, the promos looked too quirky in a Michael Jackson-y way for my taste. My wife and I, too, *loved* Batman Begins. From the promos, I didn't think it was the sort of movie that could top the first one, but the hour-long expose of Bruce Wayne's psychological development is what really did it for me. As for Fantastic Four, I'll probably wait for the rental on that. I just can't get enthused about it (after all, the Invisible Woman is the most attractive cast member!), even though my wife and I enjoyed Jessica Alba in the first season of Dark Angel.

Fantastic 4 is ok. If i did it over i wouldnt have gone and waited for a rental. Now its a decent movie but whats gets them famous is fixing a big accident that they accidently caused so thats a bit weird. As for Batman i am looking forward to seeing it.

Batman Begins is my favorite summer movie so far - we even saw it on the IMAX which was awesome! I was really worried about Charlie & The Chocolate Factory - but the story is much more about Charlie and a lot less about Willy Wonka. In fact, Johnny Depp is not in as much of the movie as you would think. So I recommend it - especially if you've ever seen Finding Neverland (*sniff*sniff* ).

Well as it turns out and maybe for the best, the family surpisingly drug me to see Charlie instead of Fantastic Four. It sounds like we made the right choice. I agree with you that Batman was my favorite this summer, and we also had seen it on the Imax which REALLY made it incredible. Charlie was pretty good. I thought that Depp and the Upa Lumpas were AMAIZING and hilarious in a subtle way! I surprisingly thought that the story and rest of the characters were a little week and almost similar in a way to the recent Seus movies, but I am glad that we went to see it. It was fun for everyone with the subtle humor for the adults and story and visuals for the kids.
