Yes I have an Xbox (and Live) I worked at Gamestop for a year or so - so I picked up all the systems when i was there (even SP and N-Gage). YodaBreaker IS correct. (I can always admit when I am wrong ) I have encountered people returning their Live kits saying they were not compatible with their routers. In all these cases it was a firewall issue. YB will probably know better than I, but I believe you can take the firewall off of individual ports on some routers. Other set-up issues people have is not with the router at all (even on straight connections wall-to-xbox). Some high speed providers need to be notified if you have an Xbox (this might be a firewall issue, too. Not sure) but I know that one of the providers in MD often had to be notified before the Live application would be active. But I will say in about 90% of all the sales, it was a plug and play. So if you have trouble you can dial 1-800-4MY-XBOX or maybe its 888 Oh yeah, I am thinking about getting CONKERS for LIVE. I suck at Halo 2 and none of my friends invite me anymore so if anyone wants to get Conkers and play with me let me know and I will order it online. Or if anyone else sucks at Halo 2 and needs an even SUCKIER partner, PM me too! Conkers???

YAY!!!! i finally got on. i decided to just take an ethernet line from my modem to the xbox and not even worry about a router. THEN it took me forever to get it set up becase the DNS was wrong or something. and Joe, you were right. when i called the cable company, they said i had to register it with them, too. anyway, i'm finally on and playing. my tag is SupermanWannaBe. i'm not the best, but i enjoy playing. i'm only a level 3 so far. thanks everyone for the help!
