Yeah, I don't know. Ohio has become the norm for TixCon and unless an advertising campaign is started, I'm not sure it is best to do that, plus I bet WebHead likes both having the TixCon in the same state and being able to enjoy GenCon without needing to do tournaments. However it might be worthwhile to have someone run little GenCon tournaments with prizes for the kids next year if Attacktix is near re-launch phase. I'd love to run a couple of tables like that for a few days. I did something a lot like that at Strategicon last year and had a blast.

Webhead, what prevents us from having TIX CON 09 at Gen Con? Technically you need a badge to play anywhere, which is why I've shied away from it. Overall, I think it's cost prohibitive to have it there...hotels are more expensive, admission is a lot of money, etc. (I spent a grand this past weekend just on the hotel and admission.) That is not to say that we cannot or will not have a 'tix tournament there in the future, time will tell.

Is there anybody going to Gen Con this year? I actually won a 4 day pass off of a radio station today so I know I'll be going a little each day and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Hope to see you there if you let me know.

Our whole Tix gang was actually planning on going to GenCon this year. We've been playing WoW minis and were finally going to be able to make it to a national event - that is, until we saw how much it costs to GET IN to GenCon. Holy cow! You won gold on the radio!
We figured it would end up costing us about $200 each round trip before we paid any event entry fees - and that was including free lodging. Have fun!
