I've registered for the 2007 SDCC. It will be July 26-29. They always put on a good show and Attacktix is getting more popular every day, so they are sure to put on a good show and tournament.
I'll try to keep you updated as things progress. Or you can check for yourself and register at Comic-Con.org

It sounds like the tournament is scheduled for Saturday in the Wizards of the Coast room. Probably in the mid afternoon. More details as they come.

Thanks, I had a lot of fun with the tournament. Sorry the info is coming out so slowly, but there is a lot of media I have to work through, plus all the other stuff (work, school, family stuff). But fear not! I will continue to provide a steady stream of info from and about the Con for you guys. First off, I met Matthew Wood, the voice of General Grievous. He had never played Attacktix, but was excited and sounded like he might give it a try. He happily accepted a Series 1 General Grievous (I was tempted to try to get it signed, but I think knowing he has it is just as cool). He was very friendly too.

A little later, I met David Prowse who wore the suit of Darth Vader. He was a body builder 30 years ago so he was a good choice to wear the heavy suit. The guy in line ahead of me got some bodybuilding advice from Mr. Prowse. Apparently, if you work on your thighs, chest, and back...one day hard, one day light, then the rest of your body will take care of itself. At least that's what I heard from Darth Vader. Mr. Prowse hadn't heard of Attacktix either, he didn't want the figure, but he was very pleasant about taking a picture with the figure, but he assured me that he never held a lightsaber like that.

Since you met him, what was Mr. Prowse's personality like? Was he genuinely friendly?

He seemed friendly enough. He was willing to take a picture with a toy...so that has to count for something.
To be completely honest. It was the end of Sunday, the convention was almost over, and I think everyone just wanted to get back home. He was polite enough, but it seemed he was ready to be home.
Mr. Wood on the other hand was all smiles, he was excited to be incorporated into a battle figure game, smiled more when I told him the only figure with a bigger gun is Optimus Prime (force/web blasts really aren't guns).

Dude! The guy who plays my hero is interested in Tix! Sweet!
Sounds like you had a great time, Radar, and it's awesome to see some of the Star Wars actors with their Attacktix incarnations.

That's a keeper, Radar. Bad Arse!
Man, you should get into freelance journalism! I've always been very impressed with your work and ability to think outside the box on what people would like to see!
Kudos!

Excellent work as always, Radar. How cool would it be if Matthew Wood got started on Attacktix because of your efforts, perhaps influencing some of the other Lucasfilm employees positively toward this game?

I know it is coming slow, but I've got hours of footage I'm trying to wok through on my days off. Anyway, I found this video on YouTube. I'm on TV again. Seems like I can't avoid a camera on the G4 channel. I'm the handsome one with the Yoda backpack I'm on camera seconds 15-30.

And... Is that Bumblebee?!?!? Looks like him to me! And a pair of him, at that! And Radar, since you make so many unexpected cameos, maybe you could start your own kind of "Where's Waldo" challenge! ;D
