Hey cereal, I know you are going to have tons of fun at the con and will have a full schedule, but if you get a chance to talk to the Hasbro Attacktix people could you be our resident reporter. In addition to pics, could you ask about -the Republic Gunship -tournament rules -what's the deal with the Battle Case Release delay? -if the line is doing well -any hints about the future (if there is any) -details about how R2-D2 and the medical droid work -and anything else you can think of Like I said, I know you are going to be overwhelmed with coolness at the convention, but if the opportunity presents itself it would be cool to get some info. If you can't, no biggie (just don't show your face around here again )

I will try my best but the first thing is to get a cheap flight from NYC to San Diego. If I get that I'll be somewhat good.

Hasbro has communicated that there will be an Attacktix Tournament at the San Diego Comic Con.
It will be a 100 point game, with 50 points in back-ups. No Megas. There will be five (5) age categories, with a silver tournament figure for the winners. Age categories NOT yet specified but you must stop by the booth to sign up. It will be first come - first serve with only 16 spots in each age category.

Get a sketch. And tell everybody at Hasbro about this board - I know they check it cause I can see IP addresses!
If they know about us, maybe they will give us interviews or better yet, join the board as an "ask the expert" kind of thing!
So spread the word!

The 2005 Comic-Con tournament was cool. There were 2 different age tournaments. Kid-12 and 13-adult. The Hasbro Corp. was generous enough to lend figures to the players (he said some got swiped, which sucks). I knew I was in for a rough ride when I had to play with some wookies I borrowed (dirty wookies). I being a 23 year old was very saddened when I was beat first round by a 13 year old. There were 16 spots available in each tournament. In fact they had a hard time filling the spots in the adult round. So I had my buddy grab some figures and since we both lost first round we each got a "silver" (gray) figure. (1 clone + 1 Shaak Ti). It was a hoot and I eagerly await 2006. Ps. I didn't stick around to see what the winner got, but the guy who was champion of C3 was competing. -Radar
