MidnightMajick and I sat down this past weekend and put ourselves through the torture of watching our bootleg copy of the Holiday Special, which we picked up at a recent toy convention.
It was too good, we couldn't handle it all in one sitting! ;D We started falling asleep sometime around the Jefferson Starship performance, so we called it quits there on Friday night and watched the rest on Saturday night.
It wasn't as bad as I expected, but it still wasn't pretty. The Wookiee dialogue was really bugging MM, but what really got to me was how everything was just thrown together in a blender, and didn't make much sense. Boba Fett's appearance made it all worth while, I thought. Another cool part was the fact that our bootleg copy included the TV commercials. It was interesting to see what was going on at the time, more than 7 years before I was born.
It wasn't the worst thing ever made, but I don't think we'll watch it again any time soon.
You're a much stronger man than I, no way could I sit through that whole thing. It was way more than I could handle. ;D
Still not very strong though. Like I said, we couldn't do it all in one sitting. On the second night, Anna suggested that we invite Capt. Morgan to help ease the pain a bit, but I decided I wanted to take it like a man. ;D

I vaguely remember seeing this originally air when I was about 13 or 14. Or maybe I'm confusing it with some Richard Pryor Show Special that had alot of Star Wars characters in it? Or maybe my brain is showing its age and I'm totally confusing everything.
There was a Wookiee show special, Ewok show special, Ewok animated show, Richard Pryor show special(s); all pretty much not worth remembering!

Sorry for the delay in posting. I feel privledged to have watched such a film of epic StarWars history, but I really could have used a translation to Wookie book to understand what took place in front of me. Some captions might have even helped, but please my hears were hurting 10 minutes in. Like DoNP said the comercial of the day made it interesting. I would like to know out of who has a copy, what type of copy they have. Our seemed to be from Baltimore, I think. I actually want to watch it again, is that wrong? This time though I want to have other people there to get their reactions.
