Why not? Lol. Besides, thats not all they did. They actually helped sell the toys from Phantom Menace and in Attack of the Clones, Most of the clones are them!

Those guys are way cool, if you ask me. They probably don't go on many dates, but they are A-OK in my book. Who wouldn't love to have a Stormtrooper outfit?!

That is actually pretty cool! Somehow I don't get what the organization is for... but if they got to star in Attack of the Clones, that's just awesome. As for "Epic Movie" I just hate that film... they could have made it a pretty good comedy, but it doesn't strike me as that funny, more crude. And the parodying of C.S. Lewis's Narnia wasn't helpful... The "Off Duty" gallery is pretty funny... my goodness, a Stormtrooper in the shower!

Actually, the 501st had nothing to do with Attack of the Clones. All of the clones were digital.
The 501st is a group of people who thought it'd be cool to make their own costumes, dress up as stormtroopers and get together to do events. The organization has gotten incredibly large and well known to the point where they are recognized by George Lucas himself.
In fact, during the Rose Bowl parade this year, the 501st was allowed to walk in the parade as part of the Star Wars floats and the like. The 501st is also so large that it is inside the Star Wars universe itself!
That's right, the 501st which originally started as people making their own stormtrooper costumes for fun has gotten so popular and well-known that they are in the Star Wars world. The in-universe 501st is also known as Vader's Fist due to the fact that they're Vader's personal stormtrooper contingent. They are also the clones you play as in Star Wars Battlefront II.
The 501st does not only contain stormtroopers but also Imperial officers, Clones, Royal Guards, Fetts, and many other Star Wars characters. They also have members all over the globe.
So, basically, these aren't your typical Star Wars nerds who just randomly hop into stormtrooper armor for kicks!

Yes they are that popular, but I mean they were the clones that wern't fighting. The ones up close in the camera that you could tell if they were fake. and it is true they are the stars in Battlefront 2.

In all the research I've done on the 501st on Wikipedia, Wookiepedia, Starwars.com, and the 501st's official webpage, nothing says that they were in Episode II. They were at Celebration II which was a Star Wars convention but they never appeared in Attack of the Clones, all the clones were digital.
Anyways, I'm currently scouting around to try and find the rough cost it would take to make one of these. Probably pretty darn expensive but if my family ever hits the lottery or I strike it rich, I know what I'm doing when I get older... ;D

Actually, most of the 501st I've met are married with families. These guys aren't some weird nerds who live in their parents' basements. All the ones I've ever met at cons are really awesome people who just like Star Wars. They do great stuff for charity as well.

Actualy all they gotta pull is "I work for a charity" (which is what they do...charity work+shows). And i actualy wanted to join up but i lack a costume and am a bit toobig.
