It will be a while. Those are concept pictures using the artwork the game is built on, but it's not in an engine that's up and running yet. The character and map design and story are finished, but it won't come to life until the engine has been tweaked for the new game.

I also wanted to mention that an updated version of the first Bloodlines is up at modDB where the original copy was available for download. This one fixes a lot of bugs/preference issues mentioned by folks like you all who played the game. Thanks for the feedback! Here's a couple more "fun" things related to the game, just for the heck of it...first of all, a lot of you seem to have found Luuk, but how many of you have located this guy...or others like him? Also, I got bored at a couple points during the creative process, and developed the below nonsense using some of the graphics I had on hand...

Gosh darn you, majikmonkee! Now I have to play through that flinging flanging game yet again just to find Grievous! Not that replaying the game is a bad thing but now I won't be able to rest until I kick some Grievous butt.

Sorry...heheh...don't feel bad...at least you know he's in there somewhere. Fans of some of the sith Lords will just have to guess if their favorite character is hidden in the game somehow. On a side note, that Grievous is one of my favorite characters in the game, because he's all my own creation, and uses no aspects of Yoda Stories art. I considered giving him four arms, but two seemed to be enough to suit me.
Want the first tip on finding the great General? Don't harm any innocent characters throughout the whole game, and you'll be well on your way...(innocent meaning any character, be it ewok, droid, or wild animal that doesn't actually harm you)...
Oh, and hey...I know Grievous has a little force blast attack thing, and I know he doesn't use the force in the movies, but I thought it looked cool, and I thought he got gyped not having that ability in the film, so I've thrown him a bone...

Ok, I know this sounds dumb, but how do you use R2? Also, how do you get your lightsaber out of the river.

Artoo usually just joins you cause he doesn't like sitting around by his lonesome, but he doesn't actually do anything most of the time...not till the third map anyway. To get your saber, you have to jump in the water and grab it. Of course, Luke is a little chicken about diving to the bottom of the lake without a breathing mask. I promise that the puzzles you need to solve to get the saber can all be solved just by searching the screen you start out in and the two above it (plus going inside the "Rusty Thruster"). If you select "Help" from the game's menu, it has detailed instructions on how to get the saber if you just want to flat out know how to get it...

It's one of the options in the help menu. Hit "esc" and then select the save game option.

We're actually accelerating our plans to start working on it sooner rather than later. Mainly because response to BL1 has been really great. I'm not gonna' make any promises about when it will be done for now though...

I beat the entire game yesterday and got the "Key to the Force" (at least I think that's why it was called). I used it right away and went through the challenge level to get the "Heart of the Force" (again, I'm not good with names). I'm left wondering if the Key did anything else in this game, as well as the Heart of the Force considering that I don't understand it's usefulness after already beating the game.
Finally, the challenge level was a touch on the easy side. If you're smart, you just run right past all the enemies and face Grievous (who was freaking awesome, by the way).

Well, I'll admit that restarting the regular game with the bonus modes has limited usefullness if you're not planning to play through again right away, but that's really all they do (Dark Luke mode and Jedi Mode). The key unlocks the challenge level, and that's about it. The purpose of the challenge level is to test your skills in a couple different ways. It has a little replayability, in that you have to modify your playing style to get the three different bosses at the end. Maul is the easiest to get, Grievous second, and Vader is the most difficult, with their hit points and attacking power being a reflection of this. It was designed so that the player is rewarded for getting through it as quickly as possible with the least damage, sort of like the Mercenaries mini game in Resident Evil 3...

Well, it's official. Work on transporting the materials for the game into the engine has begun, so I hope to have some screenies of the game before too long to share. Not to let the cat out of the bag or anything, but the game will be a little more elaborate than thefirst, and at the moment, there are no "secret modes" or bonus levels planned. Not to say that won't change as time goes on though...

Progress is actually going pretty well. It's a time consuming process getting started and loading all the tiles and actors that repeat from the first game into the second, and even more time consuming adding the original ones, but it's also a lot of fun. Here's a sneak peek at the opening "cut-scene" of the game (minus the dialogue text and the inventory section of the screen). Here, we see Luke briefing his Republic flight mates for a dangerous mission to investigate a galaxy devouring anomoly. Those who have played through the first one will recognize the character of Jarod...
