Actually, I was the one who mentioned that bug. Unfortunately, no; all I did was plow through the Wampas the first time, and my health and ammo remained. The second through fifth times, I'd tried permutations of Wampa-stomping behavior, none of which did anything but give me 0% health and ammo. If it would help, I can send you the saved game files to see if the bug is reproducible. I thought the bug was that it preserved the health and ammo the first time Oh, and xanatos, I imagine that the reason it crashed his computer is that it's running Windows 98, which is an unstable OS to begin with (and is no longer supported by Microsoft).

I want to get this, but Grievous said that it crashed his computer. No worries. I believe it is, as Yodabreaker said, because I was running it on Windows 98. Also, it didn't really crash my computer as much as it did force me to shut it down. I'd say that as long as you don't have Windows 98, you should be fine.

Thanks for the clarification, YodaBreaker. You too, grievous. We're working on correcting those bugs for a future update. Luke is supposed to restart with whatever health he had before the speeder and Han sequences, so going to zero of both is the glitch. I haven't been able to duplicate it, but if you want to send a saved game to the email mentioned in the help file, that would probably help (don't want to post it here cause spybots might spam it).
Yeah, one thing we didn't have a chance to do was test the game on all operating systems and versions, so issues there could crop up. It's proven to be stable on the newest versions though. Hope it's at least playable long enough to win on '98 for most folks.

There were some comments (possibly on another board) that stated that the game was pretty short for an RPG. Well, you're right, and this is due in part to the fact that game design is not my day job...the game was put together in 50 minute a day chunks for the course of many months during my breaks and lunch at work, and it was very time consuming overall. However, it was designed to stand alone, but a sequel was written to it right after I finished the design for the first. I then left things open so there could be yet another game between the first and the last if I so desired, but I never wrote it. All the material is in place for the last chapter already, it's just a matter of if and when we want to plug it into the engine (even with the engine finished, lots of new script stuff would have to be put into it to make the new game "work"). Here's the main villain from the last game, "Magus". It's tentatively titled "Bloodlines 2: Order of the Black Saber". By the way, an updated version of Bloodlines sans the aforementioned bugs will be coming out before too long.

You can't get the scrub root until you have your lightsaber. The last section in the "help file" you can get to through the main menu has a walkthru that takes you up to getting your saber and getting to the left side of the map. If you make it there, the scrub root is easy to find. Checking the walkthru would be easier than me typing the details out here...

I sent you a PM Han...hopefully it will help. That is one of the toughest fights in the game. Probably the toughest depending on how you look at it.

I got the game. It is pretty good. Just a few questions. When I want to quit it just says are you sure you want to quit? And it gives me no Yes or No to choose from.

Those are still the options available to you though, or simply hitting escape will go back to the menu. BTW, the "Pause" key is the key on the keyboard that says "Pause" in case that confuses anyone...it did me...

I'll try to post some "prototype" screenies of the second game taken directly from the concept design maps. There may be some slight changes in the finished product, but Bloodlines 1 changed very little visually from start to finish, so BL2 should be pretty similar. It should give a little hint of what the second one will feature when it's finished...also, an update of the first game will be out before too long with some bug fixes and a larger font for the text parts...

I'd promised some preview pics of the sequel to Bloodlines, and so here are three of them. As with Bloodlines, there are basically three "levels" and then a final area, so here are some pics randomly pulled from those first three maps. Note that while the original desing for the maps in the first Bloodlines changed very little, the final size of each screen was slightly wider than the concepts, which is what these are. Descriptions of each picture are included underneath. Luke finds himself stranded on an asteroid after a disastrous mission. Will he find a way off? Of course...he's Luke! Luke must make a deal with Garbo the Hutt on Mos Baldor if he hopes to stop Magus and the clan of the Black Saber. Luke disguises as an Imperial officer to infiltrate the Scimitar, the star destroy headquarters of the dark jedi.
