I just found out some great news!
May 24th, 2007 This just in from LucasArts:
Kick Some Brick Through All Six Star Wars™ Movies for the First Time in LEGO® Star Wars™: The Complete Saga
The Award-Winning Videogame Brings Families Together Again, This Time on Even More Next-Generation Consoles
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – May 24, 2007 – LucasArts and TT Games celebrated today the 30th anniversary of the classic movie series that spans generations with the announcement of LEGO® Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Building on the success of both LEGO Star Wars “block-buster” videogames, each complete with LEGO action and minifigure humor, The Complete Saga enables families to play through the events of all six Star Wars movies in one videogame for the first time ever. Developer Traveller’s Tales takes full advantage of the unique capabilities of all three next-generation consoles, while also adding new characters, new levels and new features. Players can build and battle this fall on the Wii™, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360™ videogame system from Microsoft. Traveller’s Tales is also creating an entirely new Nintendo DS™ version, developed brick by brick from the ground up.

Official Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga Trailer (best stuff at the end for a split second)Yeah, I heard about this on Wookiepedia. It looks freaking awesome, especially since I can't play the original two due to my Xbox breaking down. Here's some more information: About the levels: - There are reported to be 36 levels in this game, many of which are the same as those found in the original games. -A level involving the pursuit of bounty hunter Zam Wessell will be added. -The "Mos Espa Podrace" and "Gunship Cavalry" levels will be redesigned to encourage the open vehicle gameplay of LEGO Star Wars II. -Bonus levels and 10 additional Bounty Hunter Missions will add new challenges to the Prequel Trilogy. -The episode I-II-III levels will be redesigned so that characters have to build, ride vehicles, wear helmets and get access to bounty hunter areas. -The red power bricks from Lego Star Wars II will be added to the prequel levels as well. About the characters: -A total of 160 characters will be available. -Over 30 new story/freeplay characters such as Watto, Zam Wessell, Boss Nass, Jabba the Hutt and most likely some extra minor Jedi like Plo Koon, Agen Kolar and Aayla Secura. -With all of these characters together, The Character Customizer will expand its customization options well beyond those in LEGO Star Wars II. -Characters from the first three episodes will now be able to avoid getting hit by blaster shots and have their own special close attack move(such as Chewbacca, ripping off arms). Gaming platform differences: -Jim Ward, president of LucasArts, has stated that “As we usher in the next generation of videogame consoles, LucasArts is leading the way in family entertainment." One way in which they plan to do this is to take advantage of the strengths of each console. The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 will allow for co-op play online. They will also offer high-resolution LEGO models and characters along with new environment graphics and special effects. The Wii will include motion-sensitive inputs and Nintendo DS incorporates exclusive touch-screen action and challenges. From: Wookiepedia

The game is amazing....i just got it about a few weeks back and have played it non stop since then haha...I have beaten the first episode...im going back tho to get the extra "goodies" that are in the levels. Webhead...I ddnt see if anyone answered your question...so incase they ddnt...here it goes...your data from LSWI has to be on the same memory card as LSWII and you pop the memory card in, go to the Cantina and under "Extras" the first option says "Previous Data" or something to that effect and you click on that and it will load exsisting data for you

Oh great, now I have to get it again...Darn it! Honestly, I've wanted to take my custom character to the Geonosis arena for a long time now. EDIT: Now that I've scene the preview, i must say I saw nothing in the end of the preview that was extraordinary. I've done the flip-the-head, I've done the turbolaser turret, so I'm just going to have to wait and see what they actually do with their new stuff.

My biggest complaint about Lego SW 1 was the lack of minor characters (especially Jedi). My biggest complaint about Lego SW 2 was the limited amount of parts you had for customization. This one is going to be THE Lego SW everyone has been waiting for.

This one is going to be THE Lego SW everyone has been waiting for. I agree with you %100. For the DS, on Lego SW II you had access to every single body part/weapon. On the Gamecube/Xbox/PS2 version, you could only use a limited amount of items. Hopefully, this one will have all of them, which means means thousands upon thousands of combinations!!!

Just a point of interest, rumor has it there'll be a Lego Batman game released about the same time as Batman Begins 2 or whatever it'll be called is released. Xited!
