My vote's for evil 'ol Palpy, without him nothing in the movies would have happened. Also I didn't put Maul on the list because he pretty much didn't do anything and was an utter pawn of Sidous, dispite being a total bad-*ss. I would have to disagree with the assertion that Maul is a B/M/F. He is a whussy. A KID cut him in half. As for the MOST EVIL of all, I'd say that it was Jabba The Hutt. The emperor was evil because he craved power, as with all the Sith. Jabba is evil purely to propogate evil. All he wants is people to "pay up sucka" and to watch people get eaten by Sarnak Pits. If Jabba isn't the most evil, then it would have to be my second choice, Boba Fett. He is evil because all he wants to do is kill. Anything. For Cash. i agree, that all the bounty hunters and jabba r worst

I would have to go with the Emperor/Sidious from this poll.
However, after reading the Sith Era book "Darth Bane Path of Destruction", I'd have to go "off the board" and select Darth Bane - his evilness and cunning are on par with Palpatine, and he kills some people in cold blood in a chapter that was more disturbing to me than anything anyone else in the SW Universe has done to date.

I think Thrawn was the most cunning of all of these, but I can't peg him as evil - he had ideals and he pursued them, but he was never outright brutal toward those he opposed. He's very easily my favorite after Vader. However, the most evil in my opinion is Joruus C'baoth, not the clone in the Heir to the Empire books, but the original one depicted in Outbound Flight. He just gives me the willies in that book, and every appearance of his makes me uncomfortable. He's very much like the Emperor in his quiet manipulation of those around him for his own ends, and the fact that he does so under the guise of being a jedi master (instead of outright professing to be a sith) makes him diabolical. Note that I just picked from who was on the list. Sideous/Palp was pretty darn bad in his own ways...

I think Sidious is hard to argue with, though I'm not sure he saw himself as evil...he reminds me of Magneto...he had a vision of the way things should be in his mind, and he ruthlessly pursued that. However, in the course of doing so, he caused untold amounts of death and suffering.

I agree in part with that, although the sith are inherently evil, even if not by their own choice. Yoda makes the dark side of the force sound like a disease that makes you evil whether you want to be or not, so the fact that he chose to use that power to further his own ends sort of makes him evil by default. Granted, he really used his political influence to manipulate things more than his sith powers, but I think the motivation to do so was caused by his being evil. If I'm not mistaken, his underlying agenda through it all was the ruin of the jedi, the return of the sith, and rule of the galaxy under him alone. Not a nice guy...

I'm personally of the opinion that it doesn't matter if your intentions are good if the result is evil. I have no doubt in my mind that if someone like Thrawn or Magneto were to take over their respective worlds that they would not be pretty sights.
Anyways, I'm going to throw a huge curveball and vote for Grievous. I'm just going to make up some excuse where, in my fantasy world, he was actually the key manipulator of all the galactic events. See, Grievous actually implanted a chip into Sidious's brain while he was asleep so he could control him (think RC Car). Right before he died, Grievous transfered his entire memory banks into that chip so when Sidious took over the universe, it was actually Grievous. Sure, Sidious was taking it over anyway but Grievous was the one who jumped in mid-planned and carried it on to the finish.
At least, that's how it would be if I was George Lucas. Grievous also would have switched back to a robotic body during Return Of The Jedi, killed both Vader and Skywalker, blown up Endor, and ruled the world with a mechanical fist. ;D

I hope on the side he would poison the lakes of Naboo and kill all the Gungans...although I'm not sure I would consider that evil...

That's what made me think of Darth Bane as the "most evil"... he seems to know what he is doing is wrong/evil, but eventually gets to the point here he doesn't care.

Man, I wish I was familiar with all that EU stuff; I should probably read the other books. From what I've seen of the movies, I too have to choose Emperorer Palpatine.
