Ladies and Gentlemen, I am happy to announce that the Energon Invitational Tournament is a go!
Date: Saturday April 26, 2008 (the weekend of BotCon)
Time: 2:00 PM
Where: Cona Chris' House (7229 Hammerwood Court - Maineville, OH 45039) - about 40 minutes North from downtown Cincinnati
Entry Fee: $0.
Events
A) Double elimination 200-point open tournament (100-points maximum for back-ups)
B) Single eliminaton 100-point shooters only tournament (50-points maximum for back-ups)
C) Single eliminaton 100-point "Choose Your Opponent's Team"
+You pick a team (it stays the same for the entire tournament) and that's the team your opponent plays against you with. All figures must be able to knock a figure down during an attack (so no R2s, Emperors, or Medic Droids), all figures must be fully functional (so your Darth Vader that's broken can't play).

****Special thanks to Radar who donated the tournament figures for the prizes****
****Also special thanks to Superflytnt for the "All-Spark" Trophy for the 200-point tournament winner****
1st Place in 200-point open: Complete Set (5) of T-6 through T10 Silver Tournament figures, plus the "All-Spark" Trophy

Questions and Answers
Q: Limits on number of other figures, such as Striker Grievous, etc...
A: Arguments could be made for many figures - I don't want to start have too many limits on figures - it gets too complicated... Only wanted to put ones on the ones that grossly tip the balance of the game.
Q: Will there be any age restrictions? This stems from the fact that I'm not yet sure who my BotCon partner-in-crime may be.
A: No age restrictions... anyone who wants to play can play.
Q: Also, I was wondering what you wanted to do for food? Pitch in or order pizza? Whatever is fine with me. Let me know if you need some help, I will do what I can. I have several folding chairs, 1 4'x2' folding table, and I could get 2 8'x2' folding tabels as well.
A: I think we'll all just pitch in an order pizza or something - there are a few other restaurants around in case you would prefer something else - you'll just have to go get it.
Q: Are we playing by the rules that the committee has regulated? I guess to be more specific, do you have to always load your figures at the start of your turn?
A: We will use the committee's rulings (so your specific question: loading the figures with their bullets at the start of your turn is optional).
