I will finalize a date by the end of the year, giving everyone a few months to make plans. I've checked with my better half, and could make April 7th or April 14th (I assuming it'll be on a Saturday). Hope it's one of those two dates!

Ok. Talked with my mom and she said she'll drive me when you have the exact date. In other words, I'm coming to Toledo. 3 and a half hour drive!!!

I mentioned this to my mom in passing today and, surprisingly, she thought it was a great idea. Toledo's only two or three hours from where I live and we don't have anything planned in April.
So, put the voice of AttacktiCast and the first person to find Marvel boosters, Grievous, down as "tentative" on whether or not he's coming to this.

Okay, I have a major important rule question that might effect if my family comes to this.
I seem to remember that we once got a tournament ruling from Hasbro that was along the lines of:
"Can I use my friend's figures in a tournament?
No, you must use your own figures."
If this rule is followed to its exact wording, what does that mean for my collection which is used at our house as a giant collective for everyone to pick from? My brothers want to enter this tournament as well and they've always just used my figures because there's no real point to buying their own when they just end up in my giant collective collection.
However, this would not mean we would be sharing the exact same figure. In other words, my brother and I won't both be using the exact same Force Blast Darth Vader, so there wouldn't be any issues if we met up mid-tournament.
So, in conclusion, two questions.
Are we following the above rule to the exact wording?
If so, what does that mean for a family that has always treated their Attacktix figures as a collective where it is basically everyone's collection?

Well, you have got this question out of what it really means. It really means that you can't replace your tournament army in the middle of a tourney with other attacktix. But sure, they can use yours as long as you don't switch attacktixin the middle of a tourney.

But that's just one way of reading the rule. Also, I just found the exact wording to this rule.
This rule could mean, as you said, no switching mid-battle. It could mean no using other people's figures, period. It could mean that you can't get to a tournament and then start asking random people for figures to complete your team. There are so many ways to interpret the rule that it isn't funny.
Personally, the use of the term "proxie" brings me to believe that it means "If you have a figure inplay that breaks, you may not use a friend's copy of the figure to replace it. You must either fix the broken figure or replace it with an identical figure of your own.
However, I'd like to see what Webhead has to say about this because if we follow the wording to a tee, it creates some immense confusion on what constitutes "ownership" and the like.

But sure, they can use yours as long as you don't switch attacktixin the middle of a tourney. You CAN change teams. You CAN'T use a friend's 'tix. That's Hasbro's deal. At no tourney I've been to does anyonbe enforce that....we're all friends and co-players, not 'Tix nazis.

Yeah, at BotCon, we were all pulling our teams from the same little bins of figures that Hasbro provided. Though I don't remember anyone's figures breaking in the midst of a game, it could hardly be said any of us "owned" any of those figures Then again, it was a weird tourney format to being with...

Of course it's up to Webhead, but Grievous - based on other tournaments, it'd be fine for your brothers to pick from your figures to play in thr tournament.
That's what happened at Superflytnt's tournament earlier this year - and as he basically said, were there to have fun, so I think this is fine.

Thanks for all the feedback on this guys. I kind of figured that there wouldn't be a problem with this but it's still something my parents and I would like an official ruling from Webhead on.

At the casual events I've been to, this rule hasn't come up. I don't intend to worry about it for my event, I just want people to play and have fun.
