Okay, some of the details are set. First off, there will be door prizes, probably a S4 Starter Set, a TF Starter Set (both with the extra figs) and some S4 and TF boosters.
There will be a 200 point tournament and there will be a 100 point tournament. Details on the 200 point tournament are still being finalized, but the 100 point tournament will be a "Unique" tournament in that you can not play more than one of any figure. I'm pretty excited about this, as I think it will really test squad building and skill and won't let anyone rely on just having a superior team.

Okay guys, here's the official information: Date: September 23 Time: 4pm Location: BSU @ Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, MO Cost: Free! |sf>Could you please tell me which building the initials "BSU" stand for? I've been looking at the online NWM Campus Guide map with the 59 listed building names and I can't figure out which initials match that.

Indeed! I've talked with several people individually but I never posted the final details here: There will be two tournaments, one of 100 points and the other of 200 points. Here are the team-building stipulations: 200 Point Tournament: we decided to go ahead and use the same format that Superfly used for the Ohio Tournament. That means no more than five of any one figure. Gold figures are still allowed, so anyone is welcome to try and copy or improve upon Notacomputer's winning team. This will be single elimination and the seeding will be set randomly. Adults and kids will play together. (I know of a seven-year-old and a five-year-old who are going to be there - but I expect everyone to play them just like anyone else.) 100 Point Tournament: here the rule is that you're not allowed to use more than one of the same figure, and that includes backups. This will also be single elimination. Participants will use the same team throughout either tournament, and backups must be declared before the start of the tournaments. Prizes: There will be silver tournament figures for prizes which will be distributed between the top finishers. The exact breakdown of that is still to be determined, but it will likely be as follows: Top Prize: 1st Place in 200 Point Tournament - your pick from all five silver figures (T6-T10) Second Prize: 1st Place in 100 Point Tournament - your pick from four remaining figures Third Prize: 2nd Place in 200 Point Tournament - your pick from three remaining figures Fourth Prize: 2nd Place in 100 Point Tournament - your pick from two remaining figures Fifth Prize: 3rd Place in 200 Point Tournament - last remaining silver figure (there will be a third place game to determine this spot) There will also be door prizes/consolation prizes: 1 S4 SW Starter Set w/Bonus Figure 1 TF Starter Set w/Bonus Figure 2 S4 SW Booster Packs 2 TF Booster Packs We have a home football game that starts at 1pm, so the tournament will start as close to 4pm as possible. As I said before, my wife is a great cook and will be providing snacks for everyone. Even if we get a little bit of a late start, I'll still be here at 4pm so we may have some extra time to talk and get to know each other before we start. Here's a map on how to get here.

This rule seemed a bit odd to me.. Especially sense it would go against some special powers, like the battle droid for instance. So are the limitations only to key figures? Or does it really mean only one of anything/anyone?

Or does it really mean only one of anything/anyone? It's for all figures. We decided we wanted to do something different that would require some creativity in team-building. We also felt that would help level the playing field for those who don't have large collections of figures.

Great, I can't wait for Saturday.
I'm bringing my senior citizen dad to play!
I thought the "people less than 10 years old" needed someone that they could completely destroy!
It'll be fun to see how badly my dad and I get annihilated at this tourney. We're completely awful at this game, but since we only play each other we never notice!
Yaggle, I'll PM you for directions on the campus later.

Wow! The tournament was a success. Thanks Yaggleberry for the food, fun, free prizes, and especially for putting up with my poor sport attitude. Thanks Bluebane and safarisuz for making the trip. It was a lot of fun.

It was great to get to meet Bluebane (and company) and safarisuz. I had a lot of fun, but I think the most satisfying thing was watching my kids play extremely well. My five-year-old son actually made it to the championship game against me in the 100 point tournament! (And for his efforts he walked away with a tourney edition Boba Fett)
My seven-year-old daughter gave Bluebane a real run for his money in the 200 point tourney. But I wouldn't give him a hard time about it, she's beaten me before with her Jedi team.
I took quite a bit of video, so I may put together a highlight reel. But Notacomputer set the bar way high, it's not going to compare to that one.
For those who are curious, I did manage to win both challenges, and did so with my favorites: the Droid Army! I was tempted to go with the five gold KAMs, or perhaps four S4 Vaders, but instead went with:
200 Point Team: 4x Striker Grievous 1x Silver Grievous 1x S1 Grievous 1x R2-Q5 4x S1 GBG 2x S2 GBG
100 Point Team: 1x Silver Grievous 1x S1 Grievous 1x Striker Grievous 1x R2-Q5 1x S1 GBG 1x S2 GBG

I had a great time, thanks a lot to Yaggleberry for putting it on!
Yaggleberry is raising some Attacktix champions, let me tell you! Those kids are lethal! I barely scraped by a victory to his 7 year old daughter with some luck at the end, and was eliminated by his five year old son (like my father before me) in the 100 point tourney.
When I drove home to pick up my dad, my mom insisted on tagging along as well, so I ended up bringing both my parents, who had a good time as well. My poor dad couldn't win any games, but we're not exactly tourney caliber. (Though I did end up doing much better than I thought and made it to semifinals in each event.)
My 200 Pt Team:
1x Silver Grievous 2x Destroyer Droid 1x Striker Grievous 5x Wicket 1x Battle Droid Captain 1x Grievous Bodyguard
My 100 pt team:
1x IG-88 1x Wicket 1x Kit Fisto 1x Grand Moff Tarkin
Everyone was really nice, it was a very comfortable atmosphere. Next one's in Kansas City, okay guys?

Well, since everyone is putting their team. I made it to the semifinal match against Yaggleberry in the 200 pt. tourney. It was one of those games where you sit there and go "What if?". But it was a lot of fun. My 100 pt. team didn't fair as well. Thanks again everyone for coming, playing, and taking and spending the time and effort to put it together. It was a great time.
200 pt. 5 Jedi Knights 4 Gold Ki-Adi Mundis S1 Mace Windu S4 Darth Vader
100 pt. Princess Leia Luke as Stormtrooper Han as Stormtrooper Luke Skywalker Chewbacca

It was great to get to meet Bluebane (and company) and safarisuz. |sf>Yup, yesterday was very exciting, both when playing and watching. Bluebane beat my team in the 200 point tourney right before he went against your daughter. When I first saw her team, I was rather puzzled, because not knowing the figures I didn't think her team seemed threatening. Was I ever wrong about that! That was a fantastic, nail-biting game! I hope you could consider including that long starter shot where my Dirtboss shot all the way across the table to knock over one of your figures in the first round (assuming that whole shot fit into the camera span). Out of my 100 point fight against your figures, that's the shot I'd like to see again. I still can't believe that the shot worked. My teams were-- 100 point Optimus (vehicle) Dirt Boss S3 Jawa (10 point) Minicon S4 Greedo (backups) Gold Optimus bonus Decepticlone 200 point Megatron (vehicle) S4 Grand Moff Tarkin S3 Darth Vader Battle Ravage x2 bonus Decepticlone Starscream S4 Greedo Omnicon x2 Minicon (back-ups) Gold Megatron S1 Minicon S1 Dirtboss S1 Battle Ravage
