I was just wondering if this thing is still going on? I have yet to see specific information on it, like exact location and name of the venue, what time I need to show up.
Im still very interested in attending, just looking for details.

ALRIGHTY THEN! By edict of the Superfly One, We will shoot for July 22nd, 10AM to 5PM, at the Holiday Inn and Suites off of Exit 50 on US Highway 71. www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hd/ilnoh I'll book the room tomorrow and the cost to get in the door will be 5$. I'll see about getting a little electric cooker so I can make some hot dogs or something. Anyone BYOB. There will be no age limits, all are welcome, kids come free. No wet T-shirt contest will be appearing (sorry ladies). Everyone who's in, chime in so I can confirm all of this. I would be INCREDIBLY salty if I spend the 400$ to do this and nobody shows because "my dog got sick or my cat got hit by a car or my house caught fire or my hemhorroids were flaring yadayada" Please confirm if you'd all be so kind! Joe has committed to getting out the word via email, and others have graciously committed to trying to get promotional items and the SILVER TOURNEY TROPHIES!!! We'll see how this all comes together, but my plan is to do the following: Warm Up Matches - 200 points//100 of backups Quarterfinals - 200 points//100 of backups Semifinals - 200 points//100 of backups The CHAMPIONSHIP! - 200 points//100 of backups I am considering having a 5$ entry fee, but I don't want to stress anyone's pocketbook. I just know it's going to be 400-500$ for the whole shebang and it would suck to have to eat it all (regardless of how much I love my newfound friends) ;D I am working on getting some s4 boosters for the 2nd and 3rd place winners, and maybe some booby prizes for the kids under 9 if any show up. Kids games will all be free, but no hope for the silver trophies. Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

Sweet! I really like that your planning on 200 point games, I love 200 point games.
Are you going to make it so that you have to go through the entire tournament with the same squad? Like if you win the first round, you have to go to the second with all the same figures?
Now Im going to have to decide if Ill go with the all battle droid army, the all jedi knight army.... Or my old trusty yoda army.
Which brings me to another question... Any plans on restricting the number of commons to reduce the chance of someone winning with all jedi knights, or battle droids?

That would be nutsty, but I really can't tell someone how to play; it's not in the Tournament Rules so I don't have any authority to tell someone they can't. You have to OWN all your little ruffians, but as far as I'm concerned, if you dropped the dollars for 40 battle droids, then have at it. I'm not convinced that this will be a winning force, but we'll find out I guess. I'd be happier if someone didn't have a 20 Rebel Trooper army, but again, who am I to judge. Maybe Joe can put some rules in place. Also, I don't see why if you beat someone with a given squad you need to be stuck on that squad through the tourney. The skill of the player should be the point of the win, and I think that having the same squad would give a disadvantage to the semifinalists. Good points though, I'll have to ponder and then post a NEW THREAD for this with the rules, and directions/details.
