Hear-Ye Hear-Ye. I propse we set up a Midwest Attacktix Tourney. Everyone meets at a meeting room in a local Hotel (Cincinnati, Columbus, we'll all decide jointly). We can set a guideline for the 'House Rules' if any and decide who shall be the referee. Everyone who wishes to engage in Tix Combat kicks in 5$ and the winner gets a set of all the Megas (which we can get in advance). If we have enough attendees and we could do a pre-registration, we could get a banquet room instead.
What say you all? I've done this with industrial sales tradeshows, and the total out of pocket cost may be 150$ for a meeting room (if there's only 20 people) or 350-500$ if there's more like 40-50.

superflytnt, I take it you are also from Ohio?
I have said before that Ohio would be a great place for a tournament. If you look on the attacktix map, you will see Ohio has a good amount of board members (I still know that there are some ohioans on here that have yet to make a mark on the map).
At any rate, if one gets organized I will be there. I live in northern central Ohio, about 2 hours north of Columbus... But I would drive anywhere in Ohio given enough notice.

If something like this goes down, I can see what I can get for prize support. I have a few e-stores that are working with me for prizes, if I trade banner space!
Keep me in the loop.

As an ohioan clixer, i'd be for it...why don't we try for Origins? They have tons of tables for open gaming usually...then no one has to organize a location.

After looking through some OLD comic con stuff after Philly... I realized that the con I went to in Philly back in 1994 (or so) WAS an Origins. Did Wizard take over some old Origins venues, or are the two different things?

I live in N. Kentucky, but I'm a travelling salesperson and can be anyehere, and it's COMPED! Miles paid for, hotel paid for. I don't mind administering it, but I'm moving to Colorado in a few months. I still will be in KY a bit, but I'll have to fly. Imagine explaining to the Aero-Nazis at the security line what I'm doing with so many projectiles and 'sharp blades in excess of 1" '.
I've got 5 local friends that are in 100%, although one is a broke ass and would have to borrow 5$ from me and get a ride...and play with my guys... but the rest are getting paid. The only real problem will be having to see my ugly mug in person...

I live in Indiana. It would be a drive but I would do it if given enough advance notice. Make a date and lets just see what happens.

Let's shoot for June 30th. Let's make it in Worthington. Right off of I-71 North, there's a huge hall there and ample meeting rooms. It's about 50 miles north of Cincinnati, which makes it 3 hours from Indianapolis or Cleveland, an hour from Cincy or Columbus.
Yay Nay?

Worthington sounds great to me.
I would only ask why a friday? I would shoot more toward a saturday... So I dont have to worry about taking an hour or so off work to make sure I get there. Plenty of travel time.
July 8th would be great for me.

Plenty of travel time. July 8th would be great for me. I own my company so I can do whatever is equitable for everyone else. Let's start a poll - see who is in so I can see how much it is to book a room at that Holiday Inn there in Worthington. I'd be pissed if I shelled out a couple of hundred and nobody shows! Maybe Joe can help with a banner or something...Ya know he's got the Hasbro Hookup
