Well I guess I will have to get a weekend long pass and I should be able to make it there for saturday and sunday. Hmm maybe I could finish everyone off before yodabreaker gets there.

Tournament times will PROBABLY be about 2 hours before the closing time of the con, but I need to confirm with those who run the gaming room.
But plan on 3 or 4 o'clock start times!

The Legend of yodabreaker continues.
What kind of team was he using?

I have no idea what team he used, but I'm going to guess it was 10 jedi knights.

I have no idea what team he used, but I'm going to guess it was 10 jedi knights. Hehehe...he knows me well. And tayryu managed to get me down to 4 Jedi Knights on one game, but the sheer swarm of them makes them an almost indomitable force. I was tempted to play with 6 Jedi Knights and 2 Kit Fistos the next day (because gold-based Ki-Adi-Mundi wasn't slated to be used), but I realized it would be more of the same. Thus, I switched to 2x Starter 2 Kenobis and 4x Starter 2 Clone Troopers. They were easier to beat (and Joe managed to win the first of three games against them!), but once I got back in the swing of using that team, I was able to do pretty well. Especially to Joe's credit, he used a team that was cobbled together from the remaining Jedi Knights, Starter 2 Clone Troopers and Commanders, and assorted Jedi (if I remember correctly, he had 1 Starter 2 Windu, 1 Kicker Kenobi, 2 Jedi Knights, and 1 Starter 2 Clone Commander). I've the feeling he would have done better had he been able to use a team based on his favorite figures.

YB, was a tough opponent, and I think it may have only gotten a win because - like he said - it wasn't used to the team. I am confident I would have lost to an all Jedi Knight team. No doubt in my mind.
It was fun to play against him and Tay! It's true I didn't get to use my favorite team, but after watching him play in person, I KNOW it would not have mattered.
I will get some pictures up shortly! There are some GREAT ones! Hopefully, we will see some new editions to the board, I told everyone to come check it out.
And THANKS AGAIN to Malform, your boards looked great, it really made the whole tournament look professional!

YB, was a tough opponent, and I think it may have only gotten a win because - like he said - it wasn't used to the team. I am confident I would have lost to an all Jedi Knight team. No doubt in my mind. I'm reminded of the exchange between Luke and the Emperor in EpVI: "Your overconfidence is your weakness." "Your faith in your friends is yours." Like I said in my review of the Jedi Knights, the sheer number of them, combined with their utter fungibility and interchangeability, makes a team of 10 of them exceedingly difficult to defeat. It's like having 10 grenades available to lob into your opponent's forces! Hee What is your favorite team, anyway? I forgot to ask. As did I. Any pics comparable to the one of Chewie in mid-fall that you captured oh so many months ago? Amen to THAT! Midi up for malform, for sure!

How well did the tournament attract the attention of those new to attacktix? Did you get a lot of people stopping and asking questions? Oh, and how big did the turn out end up being?
Im very glad everyone liked the boards ;D

Joe is really swamped today at work but i'm going to post his favorite pic from the con and a link to the photobucket photos (which are public) for everyone to see. More to follow (I'm pretty busy at work too!). It was a great time - met Tay & Stephen from the board and they were a big help. Introduced a lot of kids and adults to Attacktix as well! We introduced a LOT of people to Attacktix. We only have pictures of when we weren't swamped, but man I slept for like 12 hours last night - it was really nonstop.
Saturday was the best day, we had children, and teens and families playing. If I would have had product to sell, I would have been rich.. everyone wanted to buy. SO I know we will get people playing, and hopefully they will come to the forum!

Joe! You guys got Attacktix t-shirts and hats! That rocks! Malform probably could've made a pretty good deal of money that day, too. Those poor folks got spoiled - now it'll be tough for them to go play on a regular old table I'm just continually amazed at how quickly people latch onto this game, and yet how Hasbro doesn't seem to be making major efforts to get the word out. Thanks for putting the pictures up, it looks like it was a lot of fun. I'd never be able to make it all the way down to Florida, this way I can still feel like a participant. Phoenix, I see some shots of you playing... but where's Shaak Ti??? I really like the shot of Joe and YB going at it, and also the one of YB's Jedi Knights advancing on some unsuspecting soul.
