Does anyone know if there are any rules governing the squad building phase? The problem I am concerned with is this: Suppose that I start building my squad and my opponent notices that I am playing General Grievous and two G.G. Bodyguards. So he decides to play Plo Koon. If I see that he is playing Plo Koon, then I will no longer want to put Droid Army figures on my team. But if I remove my Droid Army figures, then he will want to remove his Plo Koon. This situation could then turn into a vicious circle. The tournament rules do not appear to address this problem.

I'm not sure about the official rules, but I suggest that you two pick your teams privately, and when you show them to each other you can't change them.

Yeah, the other way I thought of would be to take turns choosing figures, so that there is some strategy involved in trying to build a force that is ideally suited for your enemy. In any case, I emailed Hasbro and am waiting for their response.

Plo koon ; *shivers* HOW I LOATH HIM..... " In which case, those who have more figures may be at a greater advantage." Yah but would you want to lug them around?

The official response from Veronica at Hasbro about the squad building phase is as follows:
In reference to your Attacktix question, you would create your team and back-ups in secret and reveal them at once at the start of the game. Consider this your squad that is showing up for battle.

This is great, I will have to add this to the FAQ, when I get a break!
