Someone earlier mentioned "booster bandits"--I think we definitely have those around here. First all the boosters at my local Wal-Mart were open and searched, and then the Meijer across the street started having some, too. Now the Target a few miles away is falling victim, too. When I find opened packs, I always look in them. I'm not going to open one myself, but I'm not going to get burned buying a booster with three commons, or pass up the opportunity to get a super-rare that I know I need. I haven't felt any temptation to load up a pack with rares, either. My best booster, though, was one that was open, and on the rack at Meijer. It was the only open one on the rack, too, so it seems hard to believe that someone loaded it up. And if they loaded it, why leave it? It also contained one common, one rare, and one super-rare--not unusual. The weird thing was that it contained a wookie scout, wookie commando, and Chewbacca. All chrome. I bought it, of course. And if some "booster bandit" was coming back for it later, maybe he learned a lesson. I'm down to just a few rares I still need, but don't mind building bigger armies, either. So I occasionally buy a booster, a SEALED booster that is, to see what I can get. --Mark

Someone earlier mentioned "booster bandits"( Yup, that was me. I haven't experienced this myself, but heard many stories about people buying opened boosters. Suprisingly, most have been positive. I guess if you get to sneak a peek in first.... I call em' booster bandits (the fig switchers that is). But I'm sure some would say they're noble outlaws.

You got the better end of the deal so don't complain. I have never seen a banditized booster before.

I'm not complaining; so far I've been able to find an unopened booster any time I wanted one, and have been the beneficiary of someone else's mischief more than once.
Now that there's just one booster left at the Wal-Mart (opened, with a Palpatine in it), the same bandit(s) must have moved to Meijer full-time. It's just across the street, and had about 5 opened boosters last trip. I chose the one with the Grievous and the chrome V-Wing Pilot.
It's not a problem for me personally unless someone takes me to task for looking in the boosters that someone else already opened, or if it gets to the point that there are no unsearched boosters left. On principle, though, I would never do it myself or advise anyone else to do it.
I think they did a good job designing the packaging to be tamper-evident and to discourage "banditizing." The next step would be to use a heat-sealed plastic package instead, like lots of action figures come in.

I guess the booster pack openers are looking for Vader and Yoda, because I found an opened booster at Walmart 3 weeks ago that had a Chewbacca chrome and a couple of other non-chrome. Didn't buy it though, it all seemed kind of crooked.
Best booster was opened up by my daughter, who got 3 chromes in one pack. Ki-Adi-Mundi, Neimoidian Guard and Wookie Scout. I thought it was kind of strange, but I wasn't going to complain. Of course, she was disappointed that Yoda wasn't it the box.

We got our Vader the honest way--by dumb luck I thought of one more way the "bandits" could hurt us honest folk--if anyone gets tired of dealing with the "shrink" and decides not to carry Attacktix any more. That would suck. I still haven't gotten a Yoda, but am closing in on the complete set. Need to get my tradelist up here and knock off a few more... --Mark

3 Super Rares? And 3 Super Rares that just happen to be arguably the three most popular characters in the set?
That's kooky talk.

In your favor? Generous guy, seeing as he could make at least 40 bucks off selling those figures individually!

No kidding. Methinks the lad has now been repaid for his eye's sacrifice to the Attacktix cause.
