Did everyone notice that the constucticons appeared in battle after they had formed Devastator. I did notice that, and I'm not quite sure what to think about it. I know for the toyline, there will be 2 sets of Constructicons. One set will be the characters sold individually which will only transform from vehicle to robot (no Devastator components). The other set will be sold as a big supreme collection with all 6 together in one box for $100+. That set will feature Constructicons that transform from vehicle to Devastator component (no individual robot forms). I'm guessing they maybe did it to save money, but it's pretty weird and confusing. With that in mind, maybe they took the same route with the movie Constructicons. Two teams, one that is specialized for fighting separately and one that is built specifically to combine. Whatever the case may be, this was my least favorite aspect of the movie (next to the vulgarity). I shouldn't have to come up with an explanation for this poor story telling. If it was an accident due to poor editing, then wow, that's a big oversight. If it was on purpose, it would have been nice to hear some reason as to why there were 2 of each of them... MM and I went to see it again on Tuesday and we both liked it more this second time around. Probably because we didn't have Mystery Science Theater 3000 going on around us like on premiere night! It's a really good movie, but I'm still saying the first one was much much better.

The chat online is that there were several different versions, "clones" or completely different robots with the same vehicle modes in the movie. For example: the big construction vehicle that Prime fought at the begining was killed but there was another robot like him to help form Devistator. The same goes for the Constructicons that were fighting as individuals while Devistator was doing his thang. When you watch again you'll also see a vehicle looking exactly like the first movies "Bonecrusher" (mistakenly called Devistator in the first flick) roll into the desert battle. Was Bonecrusher reparied or is this another robot with the same vehicle mode?
I agree with ya Defender. If the online community has to make-up things to plug holes in your plot you have some issues with your movie.

I'm with everyone else on this, the language was completely unnecessary. I was a sensitive little kid, and the swears in the animated movie had me aghast, and man... this was way beyond that! A few harsh words here and there are ok, it is a war movie after all.
But I have to say, when Skids said "It's suppose to hurt, it's a ass-whoopin'" I laughed my fenders off. That had to be my favorite line.
I absolutely HATED the brownie-Mom scene.
As for Alice... they just left 'her' alien robot carcass lying there in front of the school. Anyone else wonder if the future president of Skynet is in attendance with Sam?

It's suppose to hurt, it's a ass-whoopin That was indeed the best line in the entire film. And Alice is freakin stupid. I so wish they didnt do that. Why, WHY Would they ever disguise themselves as cars and trucks if they could just look like people? It just so stupid, it kinda ticks me off. I mean the whole Alice things, just in itself ruins the entire movie for me.

I thought the Pretenders served their purpose well in the comic, and even though Alice was a short lived character in the film, I liked her. I just consider the alternative: instead of her, probably on more extra-large, hard to distinguish robot chasing after Sam. I appreciate the creativity and the fact that they took a chance by diving into some of the lesser known (and lesser respected) subgroups of TFs. Good to see you're still alive and kickin' InvaderJes!
