I've been very curious lately about the following questions:
1. How did Anakin get the scar on his eye? 2. What do Jawas look like without their hoods?

1. He got it from his duel with Asajj Ventress in the animated Clone Wars a few years back. If I remember right, she just barely grazed him with one of her sabers right before he went berserk and knocked her off a cliff to her death.
2. I don't know, I've been wondering that too...

Anakin's scar is the result from a rematch with Asajj Ventress, from the graphic novel "Star Wars: Clone Wars - Volume 6 And....from Wookieepedia: Fans also speculate what a Jawa looks like under the hood. In behind the scenes shots from Return of the Jedi the Jawas have squarish heads covered in black cloth with large yellow eyes that appear mechanical. However, it should be admitted that this is a costume and so may not represent their canonical appearance. The original Star Wars novelization implies a familial relationship between Jawas and Tusken Raiders. It also describes them as rodent-like and compares them to de-evolved Humans, though these could be mere metaphors. The Mystery of the Rebellious Robot calls them the "subHuman inhabitants of Tatooine", and The Visual Dictionary states that "their rodent-like faces are remarkably ugly." But I think....

Great questions, awesome answers. I often wondered about Annakin's scar. So Ventress survived being blown off the Cliff?
How about this one? Did all three Jedi - Fisto, Koth, Tiin - die from Palapatine's attack? This is when they and Windu attempted an arrest. Did any somehow survive and were taken prisoner or put to death later?

Asajj cut Anakin in the comic too, not just the animation; and in the comic she and he sparred many times, he kept saving Obi from her as he tried to reason with her, seemingly killing her and then she come back again latter. In the end she stole a small cruiser and I think went into stasis to recover from wounds she received.
The most detailed info about Jawas is from Lucas' original novel that speculates, but doesn't say what they are, makes the speculations Malform notes and just notes that they're covered with insects and dirty under those hoods.
I think the other 3 council members did die as a direct result of Paply furious initial attack.

Without their hoods, Jawas look like dinosaurs. It's on a official website, but I can't remember the name.

Like George Lucas says, don't go by what the comics say, only movies, and the new clone wars. When? Where? Funny thing was I was quoting for the book George wrote in the latter part, it is detailed about the Jawas, no dinosaur heads.

I always understood Jawas to have a face made of black cloth with bike reflectors for eyes that are backlit to make them glow.
Interesting about the scar. But I still like John Connors better (for the Terminator movies).
