Here here! I see from the listing of events that Brian Wilk will be at the Con, so hopefully we can get some more detailed answers. On a happier note, I'm planning on running a few Attacktix events while I'm there, so expect a video!

Between you and Jay I'm sure we'll get some great coverage. Here's to hoping we get some good news. ;D Sad part is that I'm sure if there was news to give it would have been given to us at TixCon. Honestly, I think that if it was up to Brian, we would probably already have them in hand. Maybe he can give us an update though.

I was wondering if you guys were going to do questions from the board again? If so I know I'd like to add some things.
1. Obviously the burning question. Are we going to see any new Attacktix anytime soon?
2. Is there terrain in the works?
3. Is there a possibility to see some of the animated Clone Wars figures?
4. Is there a chance we could see any new silver tournament figures from the other lines?
5. Any battle boards in the works?
6. What kind of packaging are we looking to possibly see?
7. Will there still be starter sets?
8. If one universe is more popular than another universe, are we to possibly see the weaker universe eliminated in favor of the stronger universe?
9. TF-X has been revealed to us through Tix Con. How can we get these figures? The ones we saw were completely finished, are there anymore in existence?
10. Where are the figures at this moment? Sitting in warehouses?
11. Just throw us a bone man! Are we ever going to see new Attacktix or is the line in fact dead? Be honest please.

That's right! Tomorrow night starts the wonderful adventures in San Diego. I will ask you questions as well as some of my own, but I fear I already know the answers...
"The line is currently on hiatus" "The marketing and or design team is working on that" "We hope to include that with the re-launch"
Those are good questions, but I'm hoping to get a few in that might get some different answers that what we have gotten in the past.
Also, I'm planning on running a couple (or a few) Attacktix Tournaments while I'm there. So, like always, expect a video!

Oh man! the Comic Con is awesome this year!
11:30-12:30 SPORE: One-on-One with Will Wright— Will Wright is best known for creating the SimCity and The Sims video game franchises, the latter of which has sold more than 100 million games to date. In 2007, he was given the Vanguard Award from the Producer’s Guild of America, making him the first person in the videogame industry to receive such an honor. Wright’s next video game, SPORE, is scheduled for release on September 7. Will Wright will be making his first-ever appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con, where he will be talking about one of the most anticipated games of 2008 – Spore. He’ll also highlight the MashON SPORE Comic Book Creator, a unique interactive tool which makes it easy to bring your SPORE creature to life in a comic book story. Room 6CDEF
11:30-12:30 Hasbro: GI Joe— As Hasbro ramps up for the summer 2009 blockbuster movie release of GI Joe, Aaron Archer (Hasbro Design), Michael Ritchie (Hasbro Marketing), and Michelino Paolino (Hasbro Design) discuss this year’s product line, entertainment, and other initiatives. Panelists will include special guests that you won’t want to miss, plus Q&A! Room 7AB
3:30-5:00 Resin Casting and Silicone Mold-Making— Jeff Broz has presented six previous seminars about plastics and casting. Sam Girgis has loved spaceship design since the Apollo missions. Whether you want to produce a garage kit model or reproduce a broken part for your vintage toy, this year's seminar will cover material choices and advance into more complex silicone mold design and casting techniques that should offer secrets to the novice and the working Joes in the trenches for short run 3D duplication, and for garage kits or industrial design. Plus, more about vendors and material choices to cast your sculptures and models.
5:30-6:30 Action Figure Times Toymaker Q&A— Ever wanted to know why your favorite character figure was limited, or just what toy companies are thinking? How about the recent movement of toy licenses from one manufacturer to another? Or the effect of the rising costs of fuel on the manufacturing of figures on the market? Here's your chance to ask the manufacturers (both big and small) about their favorite figures and statues. What questions have been burning in your mind? Come to Action Figure Times’ annual collectors’ panel to find out! Room 3
8:30-10:00 Star Wars Fan Film Awards— It’s the 7th Annual Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge Awards! Brought to you by Lucasfilm, and hosted by San Diego Comic-Con International, the Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge honors the best promising Star Wars moviemakers. The top award is chosen by Star Wars writer/director George Lucas himself. Come see this year’s winning movies. Ballroom 20
And that is just Thursday!

I'm sure you've invited him to the boards before, but could you stress how much it would mean to us if he would get on here every once and a while just to give us any information that he can? It would be nice if we could ask him questions about the game. Heroscapers.com have a guy from WOTC that they get to communicate with, so it's not far fetched for us to have the same thing. Being the creator of the game I would think he would have a grand interest in the fans of it. I understand that he may not always have information for us, but if this game is to stay alive during this hiatus, then anything is better than nothing.
Do they even check on this board anymore? What do they think of some of our ideas?
How about giving us any video of the process they go through to create a figure? Some of the meetings they have to decide who is in what series?
I'm just shootin from the hip here.......

I'd be perfectly content just knowing that he's still on the planet and putting at least some effort into resurrecting this game. It'd be really cool to here some insider info too, like "the making of..." and other things, as GE suggested. Throw us a bone, Brian, PLEASE!

OK, I forgot 2 thinks, first my camcorder. Yeah, I know . Secondly, I forgot to ask about the process of designing a figure. I'll see what I can do about the later. But I got to talk wtih the Hasbro, it was a bit inspiring. I'll have a full review later, but I got to start getting ready for the con, there is a lot of programing going on all the time, plus I'm running an Attacktix tournament Today and Tomorrow. Lots of stuff to do. But the long and short of it is that Hasbro is excited about the project, they want to spend some time on it getting it right. Let's remember that when Attacktix was origionally released it was riding on SW Episode 3 in theaters. Now we need to have a product that can stand up on its own. So they are taking their time, they are getting it right, and they want the product. They want the product. I was talking to one of the Hasbro guys, just shooting the breeze. I mentioned that I liked Attacktix and he opened up the first few buttons of his button up Hasbro t-shirt to reveal an Attacktix shirt. They want the product. It's like GI Joe, it is becoming part of thier company history. Anyway, expect a written interview from me later. Good things are coming.

Why would you assume he isn't a member of the boards already?
I hope you have a blast Radar, and kick him in the noogies if he tells you that the line is still on hiatus.

Do us a favor. Ask them to make a video of the members who participate in the making of Attacktix. I would like to know who these guys are. They can introduce themselves and then tell us how they are apart of the Attacktix universe. If we are the fans, then give us something so we want to be fans still.
