I was just wondering as to the technique used when you spin R2-D2.
Do you press his button really quick then take your finger away instantly?
Do you press his button and hold for a bit then take your finger away?
Do you press his button and hold until his spinner stops?
I've found that holding the button down until the spinner stops causes the spinner to jump or move a bit when you remove your finger. Is this cheating or just part of the randomness as you never really know where the spinner will jump to.
So the question is... How do you R2?

Interesting query, we usually press it down hold it ever so momentarily and then let go.

I hold down the button until the spinner stops. Occasionally, once I let go, the number will change again.

I hold it down until the spinner stops also, but for no real reason. I'm just a creature of habit.

We have a rule here that you must keep your finger on the button until it stops spinning. Then you can release and see what your number is. Picky, I know.

ROFL. Now this, my good men and women, is a great topic. I've been an R2 watcher for years now and everyone seems to fall into one of two categories... 1. They push, hold, and release in a steady speed, or they 2. Push and then remove finger from it as if it was on fire.
I'm not sure on this one. The R2 I used at STNTCOG (SuperflyTNT's Champion of the Galaxy) in 06 failed me miserably and so I shot him with my .45 and he is no more. I was using the second option for him. Lately I have been using the first, slow, steady option. I think ConaChris favors the second option, too with his Speed Boost R2s but it hasn't served him well lately either.

I was trying to combine an R2 with Pole Smokin' Spidey to get a possible 5 attacks per turn. He never worked for me, so I gave up on the idea. However, I still feel that it was a good idea. I think that if I actually tried to do it for a tournament, I would end up borrowing your .45 by the end of the day.

You can't combine R2 and PoleSmokin Spidey since R2 has no hole.
