If you would like to win this "Super Rare" Chrome General Grievous Attacktix, simply make a post in this thread and you will be entered to win! And to sweeten the pot, refer your Attacktix playing friends to this thread and have them post as well. If they list you as the referrer, they will get one entry, and you will have another added to your name. What should you post about? Well, why you love Attacktix, of course! This contest will end Sunday May 15th, and the winner will be drawn at random on Monday, May 16th (around 7:00PM EST) The winner must be a registered board member. Entries: If you post in this thread, you will have one entry. If you refer two new members to this board then you will have a total of three entries. That's THREE chances to win! Finally, please do not create fake accounts, etc. Have fun, keep it fair, and get people here to talk about Attacktix! Any questions can be asked, and will be answered in this thread, but they will not count as your entry post. NOTE - Remind anyone you encourage to come here to mention YOUR screen name, so you get the credit!

Finally I can pretend I'm doing something semi-serious when I play with my action figures! And from the company who's owned my soul since I was 5 years old no less!

My kids (4 and 7) and I (40) love this game! It's a great intro to miniatures gaming for them, and it gives us an excuse to roll around on the floor and make cool noises when our guys get killed! The only thing I dislike is the collectible nature of it (i.e. the rarity of certain figures). It's marketed as a kids game, yet most kids won't be able to afford to have a complete set - for us, not having Yoda or Obi-Wan is tragic! Which is why I'll be posting a note in the Trading forum later today...

When I was a young child, TOYS WERE DANGEROUS!!! You had metal robots from Japan with plastic fists that would shoot across the room and smash stuff. Giant Robots 2 or 3 feet tall and a Godzilla that did the same thing!!! You had motorized toys of all sorts of monsters and robots that spit fire and sparks, afire hazard not likely to occure today. Lead minitures, before people knew that lead could kill you. Then one day some STUPID, IDIOT of a child fired a small missile from a Battlestar Galactica ship and all that went away. Indeed, on some of our Star Wars toys a cool new figure was advertised. Boba Fett was coming to the line. The baddest Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy. Plus, he was going to have a missile on his back that really fired. Now in those days, when a missile fired...IT FIRED!!! The thing could kill a family pet and easily destroy some beloved heirloom. But for that kid and his F#^%$^% Battlestar Galactica Missile. When Boba Arrived in the mail, his missile was found to be stuck quite firmly in its rocket pack!?! What was the deal??? Well new laws said NO to missile firing toys. Many Many years and Many Many Star Wars toys would pass and lo and behold in the 1990's missiles would return to toys. But, they were sad affairs at best. Weak, small springs, and oversized and goofy looking. The things shot like a maybe 5 inches from the toy. The soul of the great missile firing toys just wasn't there. Even Hasbro, whom now owned Kenner, made a sad version of the once anticipated rocket firing Boba. It just wasn't the same. Now in 2005, a new game has risen from the ashes... Literally springing into the foreground as a bold new kind of miniture game. Now almost every character from the Star Wars galaxy can fire a missile that can break nice things and kill pets. Now you can challenge your friends to a game of strategy and warfare not seen in almost 3 decades. But, most of all I love Attacktix, because by this time next year I'll finally have that Rocket Firing Boba Fett and he is going to tear into some han Solo butt. -Ray

I want to enter, but since I want to put more than that I will add that Attactix is a perfect way to fix both my Star Wars action figure addiction as well as my deep yearnings for strategy games, and my wife actually likes this one. Now how do I convince her it is actually worth spending money on (more than the one or two booster packs a month that she is satisfied with)

every time i get a booster i hope there's a grievous inside, but i can never seem to get lucky. im kinda dissapointed that he doesnt have a four lightsaber melee attack, but maybe in the future thatll happen. any opinions on whether his bigger projectile is really that much better?

any opinions on whether his bigger projectile is really that much better? LOL. Bigger projectiles are always better.... Joe, thanks for the board and the contest. Attacktix is a great game I gave a whirl at after I bought a couple packs of SW minatures and realized it would be almost impossible to get the set...and even harder to learn the rules. Attacktix is collectible, its fun, and the figures look cool even with the huge weapons.
