Posted by attacktixman on Today at 7:39am Bossk helps fill the gap of strikers for Bounty Hunters. ( I really need to make another Jango Flame thrower striker). |
I think I know where that Jango is.......... Great job on Boosk. I will admit I laughed a little when I first saw him. Did you ever think about instead of using the ball and chain, to just let him strike with his gun? Does he still work? The next one will have the flame pinned and glued to the back of his wrist. Actually, no... didn't give me any giggles at all. (I do get a big smile on my face when I whack the cr*p out of other figures though). ;D But' I'll let you in on a little secret. See that handle in his hand? Its removable with some effort. So, I'm working on a sickle that will interchange. Will Post pic when done.

He still works just fine. You did a great job on him.
The reason I giggled a bit when I first saw Bossk is because of the mace. I just pictured him wacking wookies with it. Kinda made me laugh a little in a sick kind of way. ;D
I still think I'm going to produce a figure that attack (strikes) with his gun. Give him an effect where he has the capacity to shoot and strike in the same turn and has the option of shooting before he moves to strike. Anyways................

Oh, I see. Actually nothing sick about it. Well, maybe a little sick, but we were actually thinking in the same way. Ya see, I'm going to decapitate a Wookiee, put a little bit of bloody red paint at the neck and stick the head in Bossk's right hand to be held in place with a small dowel pin so the head is removeable. The same dowel pin will hold the end of the sickle steady so I can interchange with the mace.
Awww, c'mon, gotta give us more of a hint on what you are working on!

Cyborg Maul - WIP Just a little WIP inspired by my son. Mechanically done, needs over grown horns, final paint touch up, and more work on the dual light saber. I really wished I waited until I was able to get an ultra fine tip Black Acrylic paint pen for the free hand tattoo work, but grew impatient and did it with a 3/0 brush and testors black acryl special mix. Some of the silver I may re-finish or smooth out. Yes, the upper cut DD works together with the GG side strike at the same time for a very satisfying attack. ;D Attacktix Live On!

Great job on the tattoos! That had to be hard.
WIP? I don't know what that means.

Sorry, stands for Work In Progress.
A method to my madness... took the head and dual saber from bobble head Maul, a loose at the waist Grievous and sacrificed a DD.

Would that be shooter G. or striking G.?

Striker G. It was actually defective, loose at waist bottom half. Shooter G is much too thinly proportioned for DD's upper half.

Looking good. Brita and I actually did a photomasher on starwars.com with the robomaul that was featured on the main page. The brushwork is very nice, I understand about the marker though.

Love to see it! Can you post it up still? I'll see if I can find it at starwars.com. Unfortunately, I think they stopped doing the photomashers a while ago, which is a shame it was fun (and Brita, my students, and I were featured many times ). I was able to save the main page of starwars.com when it was up though thankfully.

Well, I finally found what I think will make good grown out horns for Cyborg Maul. he's gonna be quite tke kick a**.
DBZ - some of these figs are gonna be stick a gun in their hand and on a tix base, but will nicely fill the need for certain characters. Others will have imaginative attack mechanisms. I'm really going for the flair of DragonBall.
On a side note, I came across a 2 3/4" Invisible Woman. She's in the mail, so I won't know quite how well she'll work out yet, but yes a complete Fantastic Four! I'll take a Thing and make him a side striker like Joe Manzo did and paint up Mr. Fantastic and Human Torch Protos and with ol' Suzy, the Four will be complete!
