For about two weeks now, my local [glow=red,2,300]Wal-Mart [/glow]here in [glow=red,2,300]Farmington, Missouri [/glow]has had the Marvel four pack starter set in large supply. They have them out in the main aisle on the side facing away from where most people walk (unless you're going to the itch cream section in the pharmacy), so that might be why nobody is buying them. If memory serves me, they are selling for about $10, the same as the Star Wars starter sets. Farmington is about an hour south of St. Louis, and I'm not sure if the stores in the surrounding area carry these figures yet (things vary a lot from one Wal-Mart to another out here). Are these figures still hard to come by in some areas?

Well... Last weekend I stopped at 3 walmarts on my way across the great state of Ohio. I found none.
I thought about stopping at more along the way, but after 3 disappointments, why try? :\
But yes, I would say they are in short supply in other areas. In fact, I would say they are still about 2 weeks away from being everywhere.

I'd like to mention that while I haven't spotted any of the Marvel Attacktix, I have noticed that my local Target has "NCF"ed the Intergalactic Battlepack and the Star Wars/Transformers Megas. If I remember correctly, before S4 SW and S1 TF came out, they put NCF in front of the description of the S3 boosters. This might be a sign that Marvel is on its way to Target.

Just an update on the Farmington, Missouri Wal-Mart I mentioned. When they first stocked the Spider-Man origins starter, there were 27 of them they put out on the island/rack thing. Well, they have been there for about three weeks now, and when I checked in yesterday, there were 25 of them there still, and judging by the subtle but visible layer of dust forming on them, these are the same ones that were put out originally when I first saw them. I wish I had a few dollars because I would love to pick some of them up to trade fairly for some older SW figs, but I'm still without excess money thanks to the holidays. My wife is expecting a school loan check soon, so maybe I'll be able to do it then...
