Here is the problem.
Who really enjoyed reading the last 8 pages of this thread? Ok, I will admit, some parts were funny! However, too much mud was being slung (slung, is that really a word?). THAT is where I lost my enthusiasm for this thread.
With that said, how many people that voted on the polls actually read all 8 pages of pros and cons for each respected topics? I know that the polls themselves turned into a banter project, but not as much as it was on this thread.
Superfly, I am with you, if you want to do this. However, I am not going to step into anything before I know that it can be controlled. The thread needs to be for the ones who are debating, and for them only. If we don't get MOD help then just count me out. It's not going to be worth the trouble.
I just wish that we could create a master list of questions, scenarios, and problems. Then come up with possible solutions and submit them to the Big H. and see if we can get a response.
I don't see how that hurts anybody to just take a little more time. If we love this game sooooo much, then let's work together to make it better. ;D
Who knows, maybe we could actually raise an eyebrow on somebody's head at Hasbro. Maybe, just maybe, Superfly's comment is correct and Big H. didn't think of that possible scenarios in which a problem has occurred.
Oh, well, I am bantering. Do what you guys want. I will still play and love the game no matter what. And in my house, we play by whatever rules we want anyways. Come Tournament time though...............

So far Radar, Ionicdesign, YOU (GE), ME are in. That's 2 mods, one of which I KNOW will enforce the rules of debate. So, no worries.
As soon as I hear back from Malform, YodaBreaker, Joe "The Man" Manzo, and DoNP I'll get this going. Grievous declined, but I left him another note that I really would like to see him back in the mix.

Michael Corleone: Just when I thought that I was out they pull me back in!
As I said in my PM to superfly, I'll work on the committee as long as it is well organized and retains a decent level of respectable debate. If it ever devolves anywhere near the point it did in this thread, I'm gone faster than it took General Grievous to change from his awesome Clone Wars incarnation to the relatively lame Episode III incarnation (about 1 second of air time).

Ditto.
Organization is the key. Agenda, schedule, and respect for fellow members is going to be necessary. Remember no idea is a bad idea. Sometimes we just have to make sure we look at it in all angles.
Well, giving Rosie O'Donnell her own talk show was a bad idea. But other than that I feel positive about this. ;D

Quick diversion, who put the: Barfight: Each time a figure is defeated, the person whose figure was killed must take a shot of 80-proof liquor. Best in 100 point games. on the house rules page Attacktix.wikia.com/wiki/House_Rules ? I don't drink myself but if you like to it sounds interesting...I just thought it was interesting that it was added annonomously... ;D

That was I, who else? I was going to add something about the Bob Marley Match, involving puffs, but I elected not to.
So now the ja-ja-ja-G Unit is back on board.
We've got ID, RADAR, me, The Grey Wizard and the Grievous one.
5 down. Still awaiting JM, DoNP, Maleficent Malform, and RuleBr...er..YodaBreaker ;D

To the degree that people are willing to accept that it seems like there's going to be no unanimous (or even super-majority) opinion that arises from this discussion, I'm in. We might bring up some interesting points for Hasbro to consider. To the degree that the expectation is that there will be such a strong consensus, in spite of the data that have accumulated thus far, I'm not interested. We've already demonstrated that opinion is split nearly 50/50 on the important questions raised so far, and I doubt that any level of debate is going to change that. In essence: Talmudic debate is good, in my opinion. Attempts at canonical rulings are bad, in my opinion.

Uh, a yes or no would work very well. ;D
I'll count you in, and Malform is in as well.
Here's the rundown:
I'll have the agenda set tomorrow, likely, and I'll publish it. Anyone who has any rules they feel need to be fixed, other than those that have been bloodied already, PM me.
We'll run down by the numbers. Round 1 will be everyone putting their ideas out there about HOW to fix it. Round 2 will be the "Why I feel my way is best". Round 3 will be the rebuttal. Then, we vote. Majority rules, and the top 2 ideas (since I agree that YB is correct...) will go for a runoff vote if no single rule gets 3 votes.

I had to do some thinking about this, but after much deliberation, I'm in. After all, without Pheonix in the group, someone has to be the voice of reason! ;D

Alright, that'll do. At a point in the near future, I will go ahead and start a new thread in this Forum titled: "Rules Clarifications/Amendments - Committee Only". I will then post the first message with the agenda, the rules of ettiquette, and the first item for discussion.
We're all in now: SuperflyTNT Malform Defender of New Paradron Grievous GreyElephant IonicDesign RadaR YodaBreaker
We have 8, so I will go ahead and simply chair the panel, without voting rights UNLESS there is a tie, in which case I will have a vote. I will, however, pop in with my 1 argument and 1 rebuttal post as allowed.

The lovely lady was not overlooked at all, and would've been a grand addition. The reason she was not invited was that nobody wanted her there ;D J/K
No, I wanted to use 2 Moderators, 2 Middle-Roaders, 2 Zealots, and 2 Brainiacs. I figured this way we'd get a cross-section of all groups, from young to old (well as old as we are around here), poor to well-off, average to incredibly intelligent, and moderates to nutcases. Unfortunately, Phoenix, there was no room in this for 'Example of God's Perfection in Creation', so we had to pass. ;D

WOO!! I'm a zealot! Wait... what's a zealot? Just kidding, of course. I know exactly what a zealot is. Or do I? [INSERT DRAMATIC MUSIC HERE] Seriously though, I see that I'm put in there at the extremes of everything. Young, poor (well, sorta), incredibly intelligent ( ) and a nutcase. Absolutely perfect setup for a zealot.

That does make one wonder...aside from the moderators, who are the: 2 Middle-Roaders, 2 Zealots, and 2 Brainiacs.
