Not that this is a big deal or anything (except perhaps to Defender , but in the TF2 Starter set I got, Skywarp comes with a blue missile, not purple like every other Decepticon. To those who were lucky enough to get a TF set at TJ Maxx recently, did you get the same blue missile?

Yup, blue missile for me as well and DoNP mentioned getting a blue missile it in the "Starters at T.J. Maxx" thread. Not only that but both of the SW starters I got had a red missile for Han on Hoth. Odd but no biggie to someone like myself who has missiles to spare .

I gave Skywarp, Hans blue missile and Vise-versa. My Primes force blast was yellow. how about you guys? I would think it would be red.

I dont really see why it matters what color the force blast like projectiles are... According to the running theme hasbro established megatron's should be purple, so at least they were consistent with that.
I just wish they werent force blasters... I hate force blasters.

But the G1 figures are the best darned Force Blasters ever and easily amongst the best shooters ever. G1 Megatron can take down Super Optimus Prime from over half way across the board with a tiny bit of practice. G1 Optimus has some of the best defense ever and it really helps him to stay alive 'till his power can activate. Overall, the G1 TFormers are easily the best Force Blasters ever and great figures. I'm personally a bit biased against the missiles themselves (Why do the robots shoot the same blasts as a Jedi's Force powers? Why do they look so lame when loaded) but I can overlook that for their awe-inspiring strength.

And they could've at least given Prime red and not green. I'm not that old and never saw the G1 cartoons, but I don't think Prime ever had green lasers...

In the original series, Decepticons shot purple laser blasts and Autobots shot orange-ish ones. Here's OP with his famous energy ax, which is the same color as the lasers fired by the Autobots: So actually, the yellow "force blast" for the figure isn't that far off.

I just wish they werent force blasters... I hate force blasters. I love using force blasters, I like the "tink" sound it makes when it hits a figure. However, I wouldn't use them in a competetive game (except maybe S1 Anakin) until G1 Megatron came out. I took out G1 Optimus and an Omnicon (they were packed together) with one shot from about 18 inches away. Plus, Megatron's special (Recover Deception = 62%) is finally a special on a force blaster worthy of a 40-point figure. I've noticed that the yellow (Optimus) and purple (Megatron) force blasts are actually a bit heavier than the previous clear editions. To check my theory I put them down and closed my eyes and could tell the difference between clear and yellow/purple every time...

I got fed up with looking and finally bought the s2 Transformer set on e-bay. It really breathed new life into the game for myself and my nephew. We took turns building 200 point autobot and decepticon squads.
Here's my own mini review of the new starter.
Skywarp: I never used Starscream all that much because my few attempts with him just resulted in frustration but seeing Skywarp's special made me laugh. Basically he can teleport (A great nod to the original G1 Skywarp) to the enemies base when he dies. The figure is decently sturdy, but a direct hit with a heavier missile can easily take him down. My nephew used his special to great effect by taking out my Optimus Prime (whom had been taking long distance shots an shattering his troups all game) from behind. Honestly if the Skywarp/Starscream missile was a little bigger he'd be a hell of a good figure. But still with both of them on the battlefield they make a great team.
Landquake: I never used Landmine that often (preferring Skyblast to be my prodder because of his special), but honestly I never realized what I was missing. The guy is a tank. And after 3 consistent battles of him massacring my Nephew's troupes, I wish I'd been using these figures all along. My main issue with Landquake is his special. I maybe interpreting it wrong but it seems easily beaten. If you kill Landquake with your second shot the special is moot. Still being able to prevent attack is cool. I think I just read it wrong. At least I hope I did, cause the figure is awesome.
G1 Megatron: Megatron is hands down the best looking sculpt of the set. A perfectly appropriate pose firing his fusion cannon. And yes the Purple blast is the correct color for his gun. Megatron is pretty sturdy from the front, but I've found he's very weak from behind, or from a well arced heavy blast (such as a prime bullet). His special is great, stand up if you have a decepticon is play. No complaints there. The biggest problem I have with this Megatron though is his gun. You can't aim up to arc the shot very well. This really limits him to closer range. Which makes him more vulnerable. Honestly in the future I'd like to see a striker G1 Megs with his energon mace (like battle ravage). It's a no brainer and it would certainly give the Transformers attacktix some more much needed striker figures.
G1 Optimus Prime: This is the gem of the set folks. At a glance he looks easily takin down, but there's more then meets the eye to this figure. He took a fusion blast from G1 Megatron and just shrugged it off like a scraplet had just bit him. His special makes you play Prime as a rear guard to the troupes. But because of his awesome force blast bullet and his ability to arc it so well this is the perfect spot for him. I took out 2 Insecticons from across the table easy. The yellow force blast IS the correct color, though I do agree it seems kinda cheap of them to not give prime and Megs more original bullets. But Prime honestly is the best force blast I've yet used. It works for him. A striker axe G1 Prime would be a perfect compliment to this figure.
Overall: It's a great set. Two great looking repaints, and two iconic new molds. Prime and Landquake having given me a new found respect for the autobot figures, usually I build my squads based around decepticons. But honestly I've never gotten such good results before. In a 200 point squad consisting of Landmine, Landquake, Skyblast (robot mode), 3 Minicons, Hotshot, and G1 Prime. I walked away with 3 wins, 2 of them flawless victories
Get this set.

Still being able to prevent attack is cool. I think I just read it wrong. At least I hope I did, cause the figure is awesome. That was my complaint about him also. Unless you're fighting someone who doesn't know that figure already, you've just got to hope that they're dumb enough to attack Landquake first. Otherwise, it's a wasted special. One cool scenario would be if your opponent had previously accumulated 1 or more "Make an additional attack next turn", then he knocked out Landquake first on that turn, ruining any launcher plans he or she may have had.
