I've seen WiiCade and the like and I would definitely use it but our internet isn't quite fast enough. It also doesn't help that our high-speed likes to drop out on occasion. If you didn't know, if you lose your internet connection during a Wii update, your entire system breaks down (at least that's what I inferred from a post on a Wii website). Considering the fact that we'd have to update shop channel in order to get online (so we can't just skip an update), my family is being safe and we aren't putting out system on the internet.

For those that never check their wiimail, (or never connect to the internet unless absolutely necesarry) Theres a new channcel available for free download in the wii shop: The Everybody Votes Channel (They really need to think up a new name)
Basically its a "This or That" kind of thing. Cats or dogs? Live by mountains, or beach?

"Everybody Votes"? Sounds like a boring thing to do while playing the Wii...kind of makes me want to buy a video game.....hmmmm, clever Nintendo, very clever......
So I checked out the WiiCade.com some more, it looks like you can play the games through the web browser, but are unable to download them onto your Wii. Too bad, that would have been cool.

The only games that you can download onto your wii is the virtual console, and you have to pay a certain price for different games

Yeah, the last issue of nintendo power had like 20 miis from movies, real life, etc. I now have a stormtropper, jesus, velma (scooby doo) Hulk Hogan, Admiril Ackabar, Moses, and Abraham Lincoln Miis are so much fun...

I think wii is kind of a stupid name, even if it's symbolic. Maybe it'll catch on and mean something more.

Has anyone had any success moving a downloaded game from one system to another?
I'm trying to give one of my friends Super Mario 64. I don't play it and he loves it. I can save that game to an SD card, but I can't get it off of the card onto his system.
Thanks for any info.

...we wouldn't be giving someone stuff for free that nintendo makes their customers pay for, right....? *cough* ;D
Anyway, as far as I know, you should be able to click it in the other system and say "copy" or something...

Origionally I assumed it would take my copy off my system, which I'm OK with. Unfortunately, when I attempt to take the game file off the SD card it informs me that I may not do that on "this" Wii.
Maybe I should just play some more tanks on Wii Play.

That sucks! Its like having a copy of Wii Sports that only comes with the console it was sold with. I understand anti-piracy but you should be allowed to bring your SD card along with you and play it like it was the Mario 64 cartridge. Just because a bunch of cheap jerks like to steal music and files now means all of use law-abiding citizens have to jump through hoops to use files that we PURCHASED. For shame to falling onto the anti-pirate hyper-security bandwagon, Nintendo, for shame.
